I didn’t expect cake mix to have any reviews much less 90 bad ones, but now I get it. I came here to order a different mix because this one tastes like fart but I thought it was a me problem and then I saw 90 bad reviews. Like it was so bad it made almost 100 people angry enough to go out of their way to write a review. Thank you all for validating my taste buds. The internet is cool.

This mix is by far the worst GF cake mix in the market. I decided to step away from my normal go to GF cake mixes for Easter this year and my beautiful Easter cake was dry and crumbly. So disappointing. I'm going back to King Arthur or Bobs Red Mill GF cake mixes in the future.

Horrible! They’ve done some thing with the cake mix since I’ve used them last… Three years ago? Cake was grainy and dry. Made the cake for a birthday. Embarrassing turnout!!!

I'm always nervous to try making something GF, as it is known to just be a process of trial and error. This was the only gf cake mix my store had at the time, so I grabbed it. I usually deviate from box mix directions a bit to make things more interesting, so I figured I'd try it here. Instead of using water and oil, I used club soda and butter. I also added a bit of extra vanilla. The result was great, I had a non-gf person test and they LOVED it. Definitely don't be afraid to try your own version of it, they were very easy swaps to make as I already had both ingredients.

Not the same. I’ve used this mix for years and they must have changed something. This mix is terrible now. I used to be able to get 18 cupcakes from the mix. Now barely 13. it mixes up a liquidy mess instead of nice and fluffy like they used to. Please go back to the original recipe and original GF mix!!! These are terrible!

I followed the instructions with the butter. The cake was so dense and reminded me of sweet cornbread. Pretty disappointed. Not an inexpensive item and would have thought it would have tasted better.

Was so excited to see a popular brand with a gluten free option! But, not to be a petty Betty, but this was terrible. Dry, crumbly, and my husband even said it oddly tasted like cornbread! If you need a good gluten free cake mix, I really like King Authur’s brand.

DRY. Crumbly. Dense. Overly sweet. I followed the instructions, and made no modifications. I've used other brands of GF cake mix and this was by far the worst.

This cake turned out to be the best!! I did my research and added ingredients to this recipe that adds moisture and flavor. I used buttermilk and baking soda in place of water, unsalted butter in place of oil, all together I added 3 eggs and an extra egg yolk for added protein, I added gluten free vanilla extract, pinch of salt and blended. I added my batter to a round 9 inch buttered non stick pan. Baked it in the over for 44 minutes, the cake did rise quite a bit, which wasn't bad at all. I let to rest for 15 minutes and cake popped right on out. I used cream cheese frosting and it was delicious. The cake itself was moist, soft, and delicious. I do recommend this cake as a base for gluten free cakes but you do need to add to it to make it good.

I was in a pinch to make a gluten free dessert and instead of buying all the needed ingredients bought this cake mix before reading reviews. Before making I did ready the reviews and decided to add cinnamon, one finely chopped apple and some chopped pecans. I made cupcakes and iced them with buttercream. They were not dry but they were the typical consistency of things made with gluten flour however the flavour was great and they did not seem as dry and crumbly as other reviews.

Absolutely love this product(took a point cuz miss guar instead of xanthan gum now used) ! Very ease to use in SO MANY DIFFERENT RECIPES. Know ppl complain about the “crumbly, dense” texture of this cake crumb; BUT, everyone out there….GF baked goods, isn’t easy w/o wheat flour and gluten….even cake flour which is less gluten than any flour out there. Rice flour based “cake” mixes will also be a little dense and crumbly, how to avoid this for THIS PARTICULAR product. Well, that’s an easy one being a professional Chef de Patisserie. Make a simple syrup (same kind would for any type of wedding or celebration cake) and brush/soak the cake/cupcakes (my preference, as who doesn’t love their own little personal cake!) 8n this syrup to help make it moist, just remember if do this….don’t encase inside plastic wrap or containers, and remove paper cupcake wrappers 10 mins after remove from oven before brush, spray, soak the simple syrup on “cake”. Why, b/c the extra moisture and carry over bak8mg will make for a SOGGY BOTTOM, and the outer cake will start to get mushy, and with soggy bottom and mushy sides/top…..you’ll be using a spoon to eat this, and that’s not so good. Unless it’s in a bowl with my fav, tea (or coffee for other ppl, lol) along with fresh homemade whip cream
