Q: can you remove front --to service,,clean
A: Hello, To keep your BD05MWT6 running efficiently, we recommend cleaning it regularly. Always unplug the unit before cleaning. To clean the air filter, slide it out from the front right side of the unit. Wash it gently with warm water (not exceeding 40°C / 104°F) and mild dish soap, then rinse and shake off excess water. Let the filter dry completely before reinstalling. Never run the unit without the air filter in place, as this may cause frost buildup on the cooling coils. For the cabinet and front panel, you can wipe them with a soft cloth dampened in a mild soap and warm water solution. To clean more thoroughly, you may remove the front panel by gently releasing the side clips or screws, if applicable. Avoid using harsh cleaners, wax, or polish, and make sure no excess water gets into the control area. Dry everything thoroughly before plugging the unit back in. Let us know if you need a step-by-step guide or further assistance!

Q: How wide are the louvers
A: Hi, thank you for your question! The manufacturer doesn’t list the exact width of the louvers on the BLACK+DECKER window air conditioners, but they typically span most of the front grille, just slightly narrower than the unit itself. Depending on the model, the unit width ranges from about 18.5″ to 21.5″, so the louvers are generally just under that. If you can provide the exact model number, I’d be happy to look into more specific details for you.
