The shine 😫
I like the thin consistency and that it feels moisturizing, but the shine is too much. If I blot my face with tissue it gets rid of the shininess and most of the white cast, but then I wonder how much protection I'm actually getting. I have the same problem with the Vanicream moisturizer with SPF. I think I like that one a little better but this one is water resistant and a higher SPF which is nice.

Doesn't burn my eyes at all. I use this on my face and arms when I run because I was tired of my eyes burning after just 20 minutes on the road. And yes, it's the greasy white kind of sunblock—the kind people have been using for 80+ years. If you want the invisible kind, you need to use a chemical sunscreen. I bought this specifically because I wanted the old stuff that wouldn't burn no matter how much sweat ran into my eyes and this does the trick.

I love the branding and motto behind Blue Lizard. I love that their sunscreen is coral-reef safe. I don't like how it smells like oatmeal and leaves a white cast. This doesn't pair well with eczema skin.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sheer Mineral Sunscreen Lotion is effective in providing my family and me complete protection from the sun when we are outdoors. I like the it is paraben and fragrance free. The easy to apply design is very effective when I am on the go and my family needs to quickly apply and head outside. I like the smooth texture of the lotion and I like the fact that it does not leave a white residue on the skin or clothes. I would definitely recommend this product.

Only negatives were it is a little pricey and it will continually leak out of the tube if the cap is not on tight. It also makes your face very shiny/greasy looking which is not ideal.

For a water-resistant mineral sunscreen you could do worse, but I wouldn't go around recommending this. It left a very slight white cast on my fair skin and I think it would have a very noticeable white cast on most skin tones. It also has a VERY shiny finish and feels tacky on the face all day.
