CETAPHIL Sheer Mineral Face Liquid Sunscreen is an ultra lightweight, 100% mineral sunscreen designed for daily use on the face. Broad spectrum SPF 50 reflects both UVA and UVB rays to help prevent sunburn and decrease the risk of skin cancer and early signs of aging due to sun exposure. The sheer formula was developed with sheer zinc to provide maximum broad spectrum protection in a serum-like formula that applies easily to skin. It leaves a dry, matte finish ideal for application under makeup. The non-greasy formula will not clog pores and is dermatologist and ophthalmologist tested to be safe for use on the face. Formulated with soothing vitamin E to comfort the skin, this sheer sunscreen locks in lasting hydration to help prevent against the drying effects of the sun. I don't understand why everyone is saying there's a white cast and it piles. As long as you don't put too much on it blends in quite smoothly. It also only piles when you don't let other products set before applying the next one. I personally top it off with some translucent powder and it's perfect for me. Hides whatever minimal white cast it doesn't leave behind.

This used to be my holy grail. I was so confused when I recently purchased a new bottle because the label was completely different. I’m not sure if the formula changed (like some of their other products,) but it doesn’t blend like it used to. The moment I apply it on my skin, it dries almost immediately. It used to be true to its name, sheer. I don’t understand why there’s a white cast now. It’s just not worth what it’s priced for.

The best sunscreen I’ve found for my face! I have very dry skin that tends to be sensitive at times and this never dries me out, causes irritation, or causes breakouts. While this does leave a tiny bit of a white cast I feel like it absorbs in really well and I don’t notice that white cast for long after applying (I do have a lighter skin tone so I realize this may not be the case for everyone). Putting it on after moisturizer seems to help too! It’s also perfect under makeup, it creates a very smooth base and I’ve never had an issue with pilling.
Mix it with lotion to apply more easily!!!!

So, this does leave a white cast. I am a very pale Caucasian woman, and it definitely makes my face even more pale. My skin loves the protection and feels softer and more supple for it. The problem is that it is difficult to apply thinly enough not to look like I've applied clown makeup. My trick is to mix it with lotion (the last step in my routine) to apply. Sheer enough not to look caked on and smooth application. I have not found a single mineral based sunscreen that doesn't do the same thing, so, for this price, I'll keep buying it.

Love love love, others say it leaves a white cast, but you’re probably putting way too much. I’m olive skinned btw. It’s easy to spread and I have even taken this to the beach, no sunburn at all. I like that it’s not oily on my face even though I have oily skin. Been using it for the past 7 months and I don’t regret a thing. Going on my 3rd bottle and counting.

I have tried many face sunscreen and this is my favorite so far! It gives me 100% protection and does not harm my eyes if I sweat. Since it’s mineral, I can used it on my baby too. Also the size is awesome and I do take it everywhere!

I never leave reviews but this sunscreen deserves all the love. I'm in my 50s but still have oily acne prone skin. Once this dries down you literally don't even feel it on your face. It just magically sinks in. Skin-like finish, not dry matte. Actually quite hydrating without the sticky and/or greasy residue. Do not sleep on this one. It's truly a hidden gem. 💞💞💞💞

I have very sensitive skin (combination dry/acne prone with rosacea) that can't tolerate avobenzone so I always get mineral sunscreen, but most of them on the market leave a terrible white cast and don't rub in well. This is my holy grail face sunscreen. I layer it on top of moisturizer in the morning and it doesn't irritate my skin or eyes AND the white cast it leaves is minimal. Highly recommend to those who struggle with sensitive or combination skin!
