Q: How is the base when listening to music or when watching a movie? I see other products have a small sub woofer.

Q: using Bluetooth can I pair it with my iPhone to play music? Also, can this be hooked up to a boss 500 smart speaker?

  • A: Yes, the Soundbar 600 can stream audio from an iPhone via a range of methods including Bluetooth, Spotify Connect, AirPlay 2, and other built-in music sources found within the Bose Music app. Using the Bose Music app and SimpleSync you may also create a wireless group to enable multi-room audio playback for other SimpleSync-enabled Bose speakers, including the Bose Home Speaker 500.

I bought this together with a Base Module 500. The sound quality is brilliant from such an unobtrusive unit and greatly enhanced our tv viewing experience - well worth the initial outlay. The only slight downside is that recently when selecting Dialogue Mode via the Bose (Android) App, the message appears: "Something has gone wrong (C1-SC1). However, as we don't often use this feature, it's only a minor issue. As yet, I have been unable to resolve this.

I’ve had the bar and surround speakers for nearly two years now. The sound is great, can’t fault it when it works. Unfortunately I often find it does not use the surround speakers and only plays from the bar itself, although this is still considerably better than the tv sound. Given the cost of this system I would suggest looking at other options unless you get a great deal. My honest experience, I’d welcome Bose to help me with the surround speakers connectivity.

Bought this a fair while ago now and have been able to test it extensively. It’s solid, sound great and pairs quite well with my Ultra Headphones. I’ve had a couple of minor connectivity issues which have knocked it down a star but these are usually resolved with a hard reboot.

Great sound. I have a shoebox shaped living room and a wall mounted tv. This sound bar fills the space so well and provides a depth of sound that I cannot get otherwise. My only complaint is that my LG TV will not accept the hdmi signal. Luckily the Bluetooth connection works well with a 1 sec delay.

Overall the speakers sound pretty nice but, for my taste, just the bar alone isn’t enough for me. I purchased the surround sound speakers and also two Bass Module 700s and now I’m satisfied with the sound quality with all elements involved. The only other caveat is, when it’s powered off and back on, it’s tough to get the audio working again; so I just leave it on and it works fine. Not sure if it’s because I have the refurbished model, but nonetheless, I’ve been pretty content. PS. Just a recommendation for anyone who has this setup and experience static: it’s best to use the bass modules hard wired with an audio cable.

They never stay connected to my devices, once it reaches about 60% of battery life they loose connection with my devices and I have to place back in case for about 10 minutes, and once they connect back to devices, they are great for listening to music but once I get calls others have a hard time hearing me , some callers say it’s distorted real bad others say I sound far away

Owned for just over a year. As with everything Bose, the sound quality is great however, the functionality and integration with our tv is lacking the seamless interface that you should be able to expect from Bose. Main issue is the sound bar turning everything back on about a minute after it’s shut off using ARC through the TV. Option #6 in the settings is supposed to correct this issue but does nothing, neither does option #7. Other issues are having the sound cut completely out and having to power cycle to get sound to work again. We have all of the same issues with our 900 soundbar as well. Also, added wireless subwoofers for both of our soundbars cut out during heavy bass and needed to be connected with a 3.5mm jack to correct the issue.
