Scary device
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m scared to use this anywhere sensitive. Feels close to waxing but feels more dangerous. I haven’t had to clean it out because not too much hair taken. I can use on any body area, lasts long and isn’t annoyingly messy or loud

Takes practice
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m not sure if I didn’t understood the instructions but it wasn’t the most user friendly gadget that I’ve had in a long time. My hair is very coarse and it made the process pretty uncomfortable. I will definitely try it again so I learn how to ease the process. It deserves the second opportunity.

Not a wet and dry
This is great dry epilator. They claim that it can be used under shower but that doesn’t work. I mostly use it dry but when I used mine in shower and it stopped worked. I could t figure out the reason but since it worked well when dry I bought another one. After months of use when I once tried to use it in shower it again stopped working. The reason should definitely be that it’s not suitable for in shower.

Intimidating but works!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very excited to try this product out through influenster because I’ve never tried an epilator type shaver before! It’s basically an electric tweezers and to be honest, it’s quite intimidating and does hurt a bit. My first time I was so shocked at how badly it hurt! I’ve gotten waxed and tweezed countless amount of times but it’s no match to the epilator head that rolls across your skin and rips multiple hairs out by the root at once. I’ve tried it on wet skin, dry, gentle mode, and it all hurts, almost feels like little electric shocks on your skin. But, it really works, and leaves your skin smooth for longer if you can get through the pain. I want to try and continue to use it because it says in the manual that it’ll hurt less the more often you use it and in return will be smoother for longer. Similar to waxing I imagine. However, this product also comes with a shaver foil unit head, and that one works beautifully without any pain. It doesn’t rip the hair out from the root, but it does provide a close shave. It’s great around bikini area. Overall, I do recommend this shaver if you have a high pain tolerance and do not have sensitive skin.

It’s going to take some getting used to!

The first point of contact I had wasn’t pleasant at all, I thought it was tearing up my skin, when actually it was mimicking waxing! My underarms are too sensitive to try the waxing motion, but using the second head provided did a close enough job. I think if I can build up the tolerance this device will do wonders. My husband was more willing to be the Guinea pig and in the video I posted it shows just how well this works! His skin was sooo smooth from where he shaved. Another interesting thing is if you put this to your skin that has n hair, it doesn’t hurt at all. The battery life is great so far and it’s comfortable to hold. I like that this is a wet/dry device too.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off this thing hurts!!! But it gets the job done! Batter life is okay! It’s a little noise ! It’s precise and versatile. And easy to clean. I had to shave then follow up with the epilator so the pain could be tolerable.

Beautiful device but this process is not for everyone
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tool has a fair shot. I’ve never used an epilator and have only used a razor to get rid of body hair. I’ve thoroughly researched epilating, the process and the technique. The most alluring part was using this once a month would mean I didn’t have to worry about shaving ever again! I got to know all of the features and began to use it on my legs. I followed the instructions and couldn’t withstand the pain. I tried several times and it was painful enough for me to vow to never use it again. It’s an extremely painful process. For the people who have used an epilator, I would start with something less expensive just to get an idea of the pain level. However, most people have said epilating gets easier in terms of pain after each use. For me, it was unbearable. This particular device is probably the one of the best I’d imagine would be on the market. If it was unbearable for me then I can’t recommend the process but that doesn’t do this actual product justice. I’d recommend it for those who have tried this process already. This device is on the higher-end technology wise so pick it up if you have extra money to spend or if you simply want to invest in a good quality device.

In case this helps, here are some tips: As the epilator removes hair from the follicle, there is bound to be some discomfort. If it’s been a while since you’ve epilated, shave your longer hairs first. After 1 or 2 weeks, the re-growth of short hairs will be much easier to epilate. Have a bath or shower before epilating. This makes the hair easier to remove. As the Braun Silk-epil 9 Flex is a Wet & Dry model, we recommend epilating while bathing. Warm water relaxes and soothes the skin. The warmth improves your circulation, stimulates pain-reducing substances and makes your skin less sensitive. So the tugging sensation is considerably reduced in water. For best results, start epilating after relaxing in warm water for about 5 minutes. Hold your leg and the epilator under the water. Your hairs will then lift up, making them especially easy to grip. Epilate slowly. It should take approximately 15 minutes to do each leg. Try not to press the tweezers to the skin. If this doesn't help, then we recommend discontinuing use. Amazing for you use on the go

Great shaving tool

The battery lasts for over 30 minutes. It has different speed settings which are helpful to shave at one’s own pace. Lastly, you can go for a month without shaving after using the epilator which is awesome.

Tweezers for your body hair!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I can tell that this will be my staple item for ‘shaving’ my legs. This is more like a tweezing. It’s reusable- it’s battery efficient. You just turn it on and it goes! There’s a couple settings for high medium and low strength. It’s going to take some time to get use to it on my armpits. The legs are easy!! Takes the hair right off from the root. But the armpits hurt the first few times but then it gets easier!
