Printer stopped working
My printer stopped working about two months after I got it. According to the app, I have a paper jam. I do not. I took apart everything, and I am still not able to clear the message, so the printer will not print.

So sad.
The most horrible device I have ever purchased. After weeks of frustration of wrestling the tiny, on-board screen and nebulous directions, I had the great pleasure of tossing it into black hole in my garage. The comparable (and almost identical), Brother monochrome that I had before this, was a pleasure to do business with.

Exceeded Expectations
Was going to go with a cartridge based printer from another manufacturer like the one I had before, but I had always heard of the quality of Brother and went with a drum set up as I don’t print that much color anyways, and could not believe the speed and quality of the print, the sharpness of the black ink and the ease to set it up with Wi-Fi and my Mac computer. I highly recommend to anyone who has a home office or school work. It actually makes me excited to print.

If you're replacing an older printer, maybe don't
Wonky with ARM, eating toner. I miss my old Brother Laser printer; the quality has gone down from the systems a decade ago

Excellent little printer
This is a great little printer that had easy installation, is very quiet, fast, and has excellent print quality. The duplexing capability is excellent, also. I needed it to be small in order to fit in the space I had allotted for it.

Brother printer
Printer worked well for about a month, then gradually became slower. Now it is not printing at all, and is not apparent to my wifi router. The router works fine with all the other devices accessing it.

Excellent purchase
Love, love this printer. Reasonably priced, easy to set up and ready to print when we need it. We don’t use our printer very often, so our previous ink jet printer was always dry when we needed it. A toner printer is definitely the way to go. Highly recommend this printer for our in-home occasional use.

What, Can't Copy??
Well, your printer is a big improvement over our old one, but we were stunned when we realized that we couldn't use it to make copies. We thought all printers had that capability. I urge you to make it clear in the future that it is a printer only. We would not have purchased had we known.

Should be named “Big Brother”
This is not my first Brother printer and when it works, I’m very pleased with it. What I don’t like is that upon initial connection, this latest Brother printer crashed my WiFi network. It has been a pain to get this all sorted out. I have since found out that Brother is monitoring my printer usage and is all the time sending me eMail advising on toner usage and inviting me to enroll in toner auto-renewal. I’d like it if Brother stopped being “Big Brother.”

Brother does not monitor personal usage the emails you’re receiving are related to optional notifications and subscription services, which can be disabled or opted out of. It's terrific!
Simple and easy to set up. Am using it via wifi. Prints flawlessly from my desktop, laptop and iPhone. Excellent print quality for everyday use. am very satisfied and have no reservations recommending this printer.

What could be the problem with this printer.
After a year of trying everything online plus YT, and enlisting knowledgeable friends, this printer only printed once, a huge stack of some legal -type papers. Partly my fault because I was put into a number of surgeries which limited my own printing options. But now recovered and still unsuccessfully trying to get the printer to print. It is stuck on paper, font and other descriptions.

5 star printer let down by the ink hard sell.
This is a fantastic printer, well made, sharp, speedy, compact and reliable on wifi. I have no complaints about the hardware. I put it on my network, and my linux computer just started printing to it. No problem. The issue I have is the built in monitoring and constant ink sales pitch if you run the brother software on a windows machine. It's a blemish on what is otherwise a perfect printer.
