Excellent little printer
This is a great little printer that had easy installation, is very quiet, fast, and has excellent print quality. The duplexing capability is excellent, also. I needed it to be small in order to fit in the space I had allotted for it.

Brother printer
Printer worked well for about a month, then gradually became slower. Now it is not printing at all, and is not apparent to my wifi router. The router works fine with all the other devices accessing it.

Excellent purchase
Love, love this printer. Reasonably priced, easy to set up and ready to print when we need it. We don’t use our printer very often, so our previous ink jet printer was always dry when we needed it. A toner printer is definitely the way to go. Highly recommend this printer for our in-home occasional use.

What, Can't Copy??
Well, your printer is a big improvement over our old one, but we were stunned when we realized that we couldn't use it to make copies. We thought all printers had that capability. I urge you to make it clear in the future that it is a printer only. We would not have purchased had we known.

Should be named “Big Brother”
This is not my first Brother printer and when it works, I’m very pleased with it. What I don’t like is that upon initial connection, this latest Brother printer crashed my WiFi network. It has been a pain to get this all sorted out. I have since found out that Brother is monitoring my printer usage and is all the time sending me eMail advising on toner usage and inviting me to enroll in toner auto-renewal. I’d like it if Brother stopped being “Big Brother.”

Brother does not monitor personal usage the emails you’re receiving are related to optional notifications and subscription services, which can be disabled or opted out of. It's terrific!
Simple and easy to set up. Am using it via wifi. Prints flawlessly from my desktop, laptop and iPhone. Excellent print quality for everyday use. am very satisfied and have no reservations recommending this printer.

5 star printer let down by the ink hard sell.
This is a fantastic printer, well made, sharp, speedy, compact and reliable on wifi. I have no complaints about the hardware. I put it on my network, and my linux computer just started printing to it. No problem. The issue I have is the built in monitoring and constant ink sales pitch if you run the brother software on a windows machine. It's a blemish on what is otherwise a perfect printer.

Nice printer, good quality prints. Printer has on/sleep issues for us. Many times have to reconnect or try to get it ready as it reads off line.

How many days til Brother stops supporting drivers
1) this printer in particular has a "timing out" problem. It goes to sleep in less than 5 minutes 2) Toner prices have jumped irrationally high $$ 3) Brother is just like all tech co's... sell the hardware but then stop the updates (drivers, security). Forcing obsolescence is a disgusting corporate business policy. 4) No electronics recycling program that I know of. Have to drive far to drop off the old printer & the toner cartridges at city electronics waste station. Forced obsolescence is bad for the planet/landfills, as it creates waste... of a product that could have kept working if a newer driver was available.

Another Brother Winner
Excellent speed, quality of text, duplex. Noise level quite reasonable. Set up instructions accurate but not as clear as some competitors offerings. I’ve used brother laser printers for over 20 years and can testify to their reliability- can’t go wrong with this product!!

Hopefully my last printer
Printer never gives me issue when i need it most. It can be a bit noisy and the drivers were a pain (i hate installing anything), but this thing’s been reliable and surely has more pages to go before i need to reload it. Its shelf space is smaller than almost any printer I’ve had before, including cheap inkjets. Bought this model as iphones can scan documents. No real need to purchase a scanner combination

Draws too much electrical current for my taste
I've had this printer for about a month. On the good side, it's small and prints clearly and quickly. On the bad side, when it prints, it makes the lights in my home office dim and flicker. My previous printers (this is my third) did not do this, so I know it's not due to my setup. I would give it a lower rating, but I'm generally pleased with it.
