Bugaboo Stroller Tray

I’ve tried quite a few snack tray accessories for strollers and usually they’re pretty cheap/flimsy or don’t look the best. After receiving this as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel, I can now say this is the best looking and best functioning snack tray accessory for a stroller I’ve seen. It’s so well made and durable, and doesn’t take up a ton of room. My toddler loved putting his snacks in the “secret” compartment and closing it, making him able to hide snacks. He also loved putting his drink in the drink holder and it fit well. It looks sleek and modern and attached easily. I can’t recommend it enough!

The Bugaboo Snack Tray was given to me in exchange for my honest review by the Stellar Product Testing Panel. This snack tray was not super useful for my 9-month-old baby, but maybe more useful for an older toddler. The cup holder is wide but shallow, allowing my baby's sippy cup to fall out after hitting a small bump in the sidewalk. The lid that slides open and closed seems handy for snack storage, but I wonder if it will be easy enough for a toddler to slide open when my baby reaches that age. The convenience of being able to fold the stroller while keeping the tray attached is nice. For those who say it is not possible, they are not doing something correctly. It simply folds inward and upward and stays out of the way. The snack tray requires a special adapter (purchased separately) depending on what kind of Bugaboo stroller you are using, which is an added cost and a bit of a hassle. For the price of this stroller system, it is my opinion that these accessories should be included.

As soon as I opened the tray it was clear that it is high quality and I loooove the aesthetic of it. My little one is a huge snacker so with how much we use our bugaboo stroller, this is a very welcomed and needed accessory. His water cup fits perfectly - the tray holds it without fear of the cup bouncing out. My favorite feature is that the tray cover slides over to close in the snacks so that I know the snacks are fresh when he decides to eat them. It is also so easy to clean which is really important to me when picking out baby/toddler products. The size is perfect as it holds such a good amount of everything from crackers, puffs, fruit (even my son’s favorite toys)- you name it. Once again - bugaboo products can’t be beat. After receiving the bugaboo tray through the Stellar Panel Review, we had a positive experience with it! My sons have both used it and overall has been very useful for us! The fact that it can easily attach with the adapter and can fold up completely makes it so easy for fold up! The tray itself has a beautiful look to it. It has a top lid that opens and close very easy, which helps when we are out and want to give our little guys fruit that should be closed when not being eaten right away. It also helps that there are no excess plastic areas on the tray to clean, so only 2 big holes to wipe clean. The structure itself it nice, but the lid and cup portion does come of fairly easily, which can be hard with our boys because they are bit rough at times. Overall, the bugaboo tray for snacks, such as crackers, puff snacks, chips, and fruit has been wonderful!

I’ve read several reviews about this product before testing it out myself when shopping for a snacking system, and boy it does not disappoint. Bugaboo always has high product ratings and I can attest to that now! I’m blown away about the quality and functionality of this tray. It has the capability to move and adjust allowing kids to get in and out of their stroller. This tray allows your toddlers to get out of the stroller independently, they can reposition the tray so they can exit themselves! It’s also incredibly easy to remove this tray for cleaning reasons or simply, the kid no longer wants the tray. This adaptability of the tray made it extremely helpful for a mom of three small children. My family first used the tray on a trip to the Henry Doorly Zoo. At times, my three year old son would use the tray to store goldfish crackers, cheezits, and other dry treats. The Bugaboo tray is unique because it has a cover over the snack compartment! Genius! So my son was not spilling goldfish as we walked, and would cover the tray up himself when he was done snacking. He had a lot of fun when sliding the tray open or shut. He was proud of himself. It was a great space to store his water bottle as well. Perfect for those long zoo days. My one year old son also used the tray for snacks. It was perfect for him because the tray is deeper to hold snacks, so again another reason Cheerios weren’t being dropped while we walked. We also use the tray on our daily walks in our neighborhood. My toddler likes to collect leaves as we walk. It’s a great storage space for his most prized treasures we find on our walks. And then, I can easily detach the tray and get it cleaned out thoroughly. Its efficient design makes it simple to clean. There are not any nooks or crannies that make cleaning difficult. Another helpful attribute from this snacking tray. Overall, I highly recommend this tray because of its useful storing capabilities, easy adjustability, and simple cleaning/removing. Get this tray! I was excited to try out the Bugaboo Snack Tray, which I received through the Stellar Product Testing Panel. It attached to my Bugaboo Butterfly stroller easily (with an adapter) and I was eager to use it with my 1-year-old for snacks on the go. While she could access her crackers easily, she was also able to kick the entire tray off, causing it to fall repeatedly. I also tested the cup holder with her sippy cup and a water bottle for my 4-year-old, but unfortunately, neither fit securely even though both were children’s cups. On the positive side, the tray was simple to remove and very easy to clean. However, I wasn’t able to fold the stroller with the tray attached, which was an inconvenience. Overall it seemed like a nice accessory but practically didn’t work well for me or my little ones.

Pros: *Easy to install once the adapter is in place. *Easy to remove for cleaning Cons: *Falls off too easily. Whether while moving the stroller or getting bumped, it would often detach unexpectedly from the cup holder portion. *The drink holder was ok, but didn't secure the cups, so they could easily fall out (say if there's a bump in the sidewalk or a turn taken too quickly). *I'm not sure what the purpose of the cover is. I found it more difficult than necessary to remove when we wanted to open the snack portion. When in use, there was no great option of where to store the cover (in the basket underneath seemed to be the only option). *Snack tray must be removed for folding. But again, where to put it? Overall, I would not recommend this snack tray.

I take my 2 year old on a stroll almost daily. So, it was nice to receive the Bugaboo snack tray to attach to the Bugaboo stroller from the Stellar Testing Panel. The tray allows me to put his water cup as well as a snack like his crackers in the tray. It swivels so it also protects the snacks from bugs or falling out when he’s not munching. It’s super convenient! When we’re done with the tray, it’s very easy to remove and clean. I wished it folded in with the stroller, but not a big deal to remove. I will say that my son likes to put his legs on the tray, which has actually knocked the top to the ground. Other than that, this tray is very convenient to have.

At first glance, I liked the neutral color choice and liked how it can to close, unlike many other shallow, open trays. We have used the tray to hold different kinds of water cups, along with bottles. We also used it to hold snacks such as cherrios or rice teething crackers. My favorite feature of the tray is the depth of the drink area. I was able to roll the stroller over curbs, bumps, hills, etc. and my son's cup stayed within the drink holder. The tray is super easy to attach to the adapter on the stroller and remove as needed. The tray is also easy to wipe down on the go or wash more thoroughly once home. I also appreciate the ability to stash snacks in it before leaving for a walk without my kiddo seeing, then I can rotate it open while we're out rather than having to hand him something. While I have only been using it for a month, the tray seems quite durable against my kiddo's antics. Upon recently removing his snack, my son used the snack area for his water with a cup that has handles. My only frustration with the tray is that it has to be removed in to fold up the stroller. I am worried that I will end up leaving it somewhere or in the car since I am usually holding kiddo in one arm and unloading stroller with the other.

I received this as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. This snack tray is very easy to put on to the necessary adapter. You have to have the adapter otherwise it won’t go on. It’s super easy to clean, the white top pops right off. I like that it swivels open and closed, especially for summer when you don’t want bugs to get into the food or have it out in the open. It’s pretty spacious and fits a lot of food. The cup holder should fit any cup, even stainless tumblers. My husband’s adult sized 40 oz stainless tumbler almost fits! It’s adjustable for height when attached to the stroller to account for different sized children so it can grow with your child. The only con is that when the tray swivels out, it can lift out of the adapter and can be easily be accidentally pulled off when removing the child. However, when it locks toward the baby it is very secure so the child won’t be able to pull it off in that position. It’s just when it’s swiveled outward that it might be an issue.

The engineers at Bugaboo deserve some big thanks for their work on this snack tray. My kiddo previously would throw her snacks and cups out of her stroller but thanks to the moveable lid for the snack compartment within this snack tray and the deep cup holder, it is no longer a problem! The snack tray lets her keep her independence when she's ready to sip on a drink or grab a snack which makes for a happy toddler and a happy mama. We have put everything from crackers to fruit snacks to pouches in it and it handles it all. Being top rack dishwasher safe ensures that it is easy to clean and remains a safe surface for her to eat off of. The movement functionality is also a win, it is easily moved to the side for easy loading and unloading of my toddler and it can tilt toward her so she can always see what's inside. Compared to other stroller trays I’ve seen, this one is impressively clever in its design. The only small drawback is that it doesn’t fold with the stroller. I’m a little bummed about that, since carrying extra pieces can be a bit of a struggle when you’re already juggling kids and bags. We used it mainly out on our neighborhood walks to our local park and the library. It was most helpful for keeping him fed and occupied so I didn’t have to hand him his snacks one by one. We used it for his dry snacks, like puffs, crackers, and yogurt melts. I used a silicone muffin liner on the inside to keep the tray clean. His water bottle fit perfectly in the drink compartment. The tray is very easy to attach and remove from the stroller adapter, which makes cleaning it a breeze. Because I always have it lined, I haven’t had any big messes with it so far. Overall, I think this is an awesome snack tray!
