I can’t remember if it was this year or last when I discovered these, but after my first bag I immediately bought 4 more..and then several people in my life bought more :) The dark chocolate with the shell is the perfect not too sweet combo. The Royal dark is the best but why only for Easter? In general, whether it’s Royal dark or the milk chocolate, it would be great to have for the summer a red, white and blue! And make it available until the fall when you brink out the harvest ones. Hershey is American made and local to me so let’s show our patriotism!

These are basically like oversized, egg-shaped semisweet chocolate chips covered in the same type candy coating of the "regular" version. The texture seems soft for dark chocolate. I'm not surprised – it's similar to the texture of the original flavor – but it seems out of place with these. I'm glad to have tried them, and they're not the worst, but I guess I was hoping for something different. The flavor is lackluster and the texture is mildly off-putting.
