    All good except one thing

    I like everything about the camera except one thing that I consider major. Having to keep your finger on the trigger all the time while shooting is a problem. I would like to put the camera on a tripod and get into the video myself. Can't be done as there is no trigger lock. I consider this a major omission.

    Solid device missing critical features.

    It’s solid for what it is. It’s nice that you can create and upload your own filters to the device as well. The one thing that hinders its performance is that in order to shoot video you have to constantly hold down the trigger. They should have added a trigger lock of sorts so that you could have more freedom to shoot while, say, having the device attached to a gimbal or tripod other type of camera rig.

    Make Falcor a Happy Dragon

    If you’re looking for something that screams “CREATE NOW,” the Camp Snap CS-8 is basically your dream dragon straight out of The NeverEnding Story. Out of the box, you just point and go. No setup spiral. No endless menus. No “content creator starter pack” required. It needs absolutely nothing additional to start making memories immediately.

    9/10 only downside is that there’s no way to transfer via lightning cable which makes it a little bit of a faff to get your videos if you’re device isn’t USBC.

    Epic camera!

    We got this since we wanted to get into super 8 film but, as filmmakers in the digital age, didn’t want to wait weeks for processing so having a USB-C compatible camera to just whip out, shoot some vibey scenes and back up immediately has been awesome. We live in Colorado so take it hiking, snowboarding and rock climbing and it gets beaten up pretty good but is surprisingly durable given the price. 10/10 recommend, especially if you want to stay in the moment and not look at a screen while filming. Gives the experience of film with the convenience of digital.

    Amazing bit of kit, we love it!

    We absolutely love our Camp Snap CS8! It arrived really quickly, was super easy to set up, and works perfectly. We bought it for our upcoming family travels around Europe and can’t wait to capture all the memories along the way. It has a great simple, fun feel to it and is ideal for travelling.     Cool Dad Coming Soon!

    Just picked up the CS8 from Camp Snap and I’m honestly obsessed with this thing. It somehow feels like a toy, a nostalgia machine, and a legit creativity tool all at once. My 4-year-old can use it without me hovering over him every five seconds, which says a lot about how intuitive it is. Everywhere we take it, people stop and ask about it. What I love most is that it keeps everyone present. No endless settings. No staring at screens. Just capturing moments while actually living in them. It feels less like “content creation” and more like building memories. Only complaint? You forgot to send me the data USB-C cable.     Fun camera! Good accessories and quality..

    Definitely a cool camera to shoot video with!!!!!! If you have old-school cameras or even if you are new to them, you should enjoy this camera. It’s nice to see people breaking away from their phone screens and filming like we used to have to film.

    birthday gift success!

    Bought this for my wife’s birthday, and it’s safe to say she loves it. It’s already got a permanent place in her purse on the off chance we run into something she just has to film! We have had the camera for just over a month and I’ve had to take her on 3 weekend road trips just so she can use it.

    Pure Nostalgia!

    I bought this for myself because it reminded me of old school video cameras that captured moments while also being a part of them.
