I see why its $700. It takes the most beautiful images clearly, and it’s not hard to learn. Very easy to set up and use the different modes. The touch screen is a huge bonus too so you dont have to keep clicking the little button. Definitely recommend. (Hint: get the hotstock app to be notified to buy this camera when it’s in stock)

I FINALLLY was able to get one!! It always goes out of stock while it’s in my cart and omg it went through! I love this camera and now I find myself taking pictures of everything. I can’t wait to see how I can fully use the functions of it. If you can get one, do it!

I've had this camera for about a year now and have used it for outdoor photography on climbing and skiing trips where I need something that fits in my pocket. I'm not super camera savvy and so I find that 99% of the time, auto-shooting mode combined with some light Adobe Lightroom post-processing produces exactly the kind of images I'm after. All the 1-star reviews have to do with it's lack of WiFi connectivity. This has nothing to do with the quality of the images produced so these reviews are stupid; I use a card reader and have had no issues. WiFi connectivity with my Mac does indeed not work, but with my iPhone it is seamless when the Canon app is downloaded. I prefer using the card reader anyway.

I'm a retired commercial photographer and video producer of 40 years. I wanted a compact camera for photo and video that would serve me well. Over the last 2+ years this small but mighty camera has given me everything I've asked it to do. Full auto, manual operations of all types and never a failure. I'm impressed. Delighted to have this camera with me wherever I go.

Compact and lightweight. WIFI is nearly impossible to connect. USB cord cannot transfer files. I have to take the memory card out and use a card reader. Issues with autofocus; sometimes, it just went out of focus, lost for a few seconds before regaining focus.

Takes excellent video footage in loud, dim environments like concerts. Captures gorgeous long-exposure photos of fire spinners and LED flow props. With a steady had it can snap crisp shots of stars in the night sky without a tripod. Has an interface that is easy to use and navigate. The wireless connectivity with smartphones is convenient. Colors come out vivid. It focuses on subjects with ease. The touchscreen is very responsive. I've used this camera for 3 years. I am extremely happy I bought it.

I came here looking for a tech question and stumbled across some unfair reviews from people who sound like they know little about photography, much less this great camera. I've had mine for three years now and it's been so good it's made it hard for me to find anything else that compares in its size and price range. That includes a couple other bodies from camera companies named after mountains. The G7X Mark II is TRULY pocketable, has nice fast lens, the swivel touchscreen is awesome and it takes good video, too. And don't forget those Canon colors. There is a newer model that adds 4K and some other features but this a great little camera.

when everyone has and iphone 11 pro in the house and gets this your spoiled from your iphone when your compare your pictures from your iphone to the camera the camera is horrible camera used to be good 12 years ago with the s series we have beautiful pictures but then they went downhill since sorry canon

I love this camera. But I HATE HATE HATE the wifi transfer utility. The old process/app were OK, but they nixed it and the new app is unusable. You have zero control over which photos get uploaded and what resolution is preserved (hint: it's not full resolution). The only solution I can think of is to go out and by a chip reader, defeating the purpose of a WiFi camera. I will not be buying a Canon product again. The best point and shoot in the world is useless with out a decent transfer app.
Great for vloging. My wife uses it for her YouTube channel.

This camera is so expensive and i have an mac book air and you're telling me i have to download other things on my device just to have it transfer to my mac book. Also, there isn't anypoint of having the wifi on here because that doesnt even help at all.
