Capsaicin is used in all major medical pain clinics. When applied the nerve endings in the dermis retreat alleviating pain. Imperative that user applies with silicone glove w/very light application the first few uses. A burning sensation should not be felt. Over time, with regular use, body pain subsides with less applications needed. Always wash any residue on hands with cool water and soap, dry. Avoid eye contact. Follow directions on tube.

Yeah it’s a slow roast. But that’s the point. It penetrates deep. Initially it takes a little time to get warming up but then eventually it gets there. It’s not too bad. It’s heat, and you have to use it sparingly and spread it with a glove on the other hand, otherwise you’ll end up touching your face or eyes and it will sting you. So make sure to use a glove to apply, or use the tip of the tube to spread it and then after it starts to warm wipe off any excess with a pepper towel. The hot burn is good for me for the outside of the finger where it locks up a bit, it always feels cold there so heat is what I need.

I was having some knee pain and used this. Big mistake! I woke up in the middle of the night and felt like I had a blow torch on my knee. I was trying everything to help it and nothing was helping. it's been over 24hrs now, I'm still having burning. If you decide to buy it make sure you buy some burn cream.

This is an interesting pain relief product that works best once you know a few things about it. In the beginning, use sparingly until you get a sense of how much to apply to a particular area for relief. Also, sometimes it takes a while to kick in. Additionally, it may feel too strong, or not strong enough until the skin nerves become sensitized or desensitized to it. You will surely feel it on any areas of mucosa though and it remains on the hands even after washing so do be careful. The effects after one application can continue intermittently for hours, and can get re-stimulated by heat like by taking a hot shower. I love that it’s odorless, and to me that’s worth the finicky property of capsicum.

I bought this for my grandmother that has like shoulder pain due to arthritis well she had told me the first time she used it it burned well last night I was having some shoulder pain so I decided to try it out and let me tell you at 4:30 in the morning I woke up and it looked like I had a sunburn it was blistering red and the burn sensation was unbearable do not I repeat do not buy this for your elder or for someone that is nonverbal this stuff is bad

This product works well for pain and inflammation. Apply after showering or bathing with a cotton pad or wash hands thoroughly. (The active ingredient is found in hot chili peppers.) Heat and water intensify the feeling of heat.

Discomfort this caused is worse than my arthritis pain. Put some on my shoulder and knees. Within a few minutes the cream started to cause a warming sensation, which is expected. But for the next 5 hours it felt like they were on fire. Spores from the chili pepper must’ve gotten into my lungs because I felt like I couldn’t take a deep breath. After 6 hours from application time I took a shower to clean the remaining cream off. When the water hit the areas it felt like the worst sunburn I have ever had, times ten. I then put an ice pack on for 30 min which began to calm the burn. It took over 8 hours before the burning was gone. All of this and the original pain that I used it for was still present.
