[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I remember drinking carnation instant breakfast when I was a kid, this updated version of the product I have never thought to try though and I was not disappointed! The taste is a rich chocolate, even my husband liked it and he’s not a fan of chocolate drinks. He used it in milk and I used it in almond milk and it tasted great. It recommends 8 oz, but it is a little thick that way so if it’s too thick you can add it to a larger amount of liquid. It does take a lot of stirring to mix in, I recommend a whisk or small blender to get it mixed together better. I have also branched out and tried the vanilla and strawberry flavors now and they are great in my smoothies I make with frozen berries! I am on a gluten free diet and have not had any issues drinking this. While it is gluten free there are cross contamination risks for this so obviously be cautious if you have more specific limitations. But for me this is a great option when I need some extra calories.
