this product did exactly what it was supposed to and did not disappoint! i honestly don’t understand all the bad reviews. it’s not too thick, it didn’t leave a dry or waxy feeling like others have mentioned it actually left mine and my twin boys hair really soft and we all have thick, curly, high porosity hair. and it smells amazing! there was no residue left behind and it dries clear. i feel like anyone who experienced issues with it is due to user error. you really don’t need to use a lot of this product and you need to apply to wet hair. i will continue to purchase as long as it is in stock!

I absolutely love this, I have been on the same jar since October of 2022 because I emulsify in my hands with a gel. I have super dry hair and this is provides my hair with so much moisture. It is hard to wash out because of how this the product is, which is why I emulsify with a water based gel. Use a clarifying shampoo and a regular shampoo to get it out. But overall this has been my best friend and leaves my hair looking AMAZING for at least 6 days! I also have a range between type 2 and 3 curls!

Disclaimer: I was NOT paid to review this product and yes I have 3C/4A hydrophobic hair. Soo initially when trying this product I was like what in the world is going on? But hear me out! This product is life…this is one of those a little goes a long way type of products (please don’t pile it on like gel). Your hair needs to be ringing wet and by all means please do not use or add anything else to it other than water. I would strongly advise you use the entire Coco Crème line when using this product it just doesn’t mesh well with other products (from my personal experiences). Just keep in mind section the hair but don’t apply too much product. Your hair will appear white but it will dry clear. If you put too much product in you can lightly blot your hair with a t-shirt (btw never ever use towels on natural hair). AT LAST fuss and frizz free curls without tacky flaky gel

I really thought this was a good product. But after the first month I started to realize it was too hard to wash out of my hair. It’s like the shampoo was not washing anything out. And my volume was going down, my hair looks damaged. This is the only thing I changed in my daily routine. I usually use Rizo curls. But they were sold out the day I went to target. My impatient self found this. Never again! Sorry.

Living in Florida makes naturally, air dried, curly hair hard to stay put without frizz. I do not know much about curl types but I am Puerto Rican with a thick, full head of long hair. My curls are not super tight but like loose springs and some waves for reference. I find that a small amount of product has to be applied to dipping wet, untangled hair and worked all the way through to the ends in order to dissolve properly and leave no residue at the end of the day. It holds as if it I used hair gel, without using harsh chemicals. My son has a thick, “The Weeknd” type fro and my husband loves this on his beard. Personally, I do not use this product everyday. It is not a leave in conditioner or moisturizer, so yes, pick the correct product for your needs. It’s meant to be for air dry styling to prevent frizz like hair gel, which requires a good, fresh curl hold.

It smells good, but it's so thick it is hard to distribute. It leaves the hair feeling greasy without actually moisturizing. It smells great, and maybe it works better on other hair types. I used this for my daughter who has fine texture 3c-4a curls.

I have very dry, coarse hair, and this is the only product that both makes cute curls and gives them hold for a few days. Everything else might look nice for a few hours and then wears off, or didn't moisturize enough and my hair looks dry and frizzled too soon.

It Worked At First. I Have Really Curly Hair And With The winter weather It Was A Little Dry. I Bought This Because It Said On The Front That It Did Not Contain Bad Ingredients. It Did Work But Was Heavy And Sticky After Some Time I Looked At The Back And Was Unhappy To See That It Fragrance And Other Ingredients That Were Not The Best. Now My Hair Is Frizzy And Worst Of All Straight. My Curls Are Gone. I Don't Know How That Happened I'm Really Upset. I Will Have To Cut It And Regrow It. My Daughter Also Had The Same Thing. Her Hair Is Not So Curly But It Took Out A Lot Of Her Curls. She Did Not Use It As Much Luckily But It Thinned Out Our Hair And Now It Looks Super Dry Thin And Mostly Straight. Buyer Beware! It really does define texture! I have 2b/2c fine hair, and my routine is brush, wash/rinse/condition, detangler, this product, scrunch, and plop in a scarf or t-shirt. My hair comes out perfect! Only thing I don't like is if I don't use the detangler prior, just for the feel of my hair, it's not as soft if I use it on its own. Hope that helps!
