CeraVe Oil Control Face Gel Cream - 3 fl oz

I've been struggling with oily skin for a long time. This product is like a miracle. It has a tacky-like feeling to it, which makes it feel like it's "controlling the oiliness" on my face, which I like. Usually, after I come home from a long school day, you'd better bet that my face is oily, but with this product, my face still feels soft and moisturized and not some greasy mess. I'm really proud I found a product that helped with my overproduction of oil, because not only did it help balance oil production, but it made me feel confident. I've always felt insecure because of my grease face, but this product does its job.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a good moisturizer for oily skin. It's nice and lightweight and hydrating without being greasy. It soaks in so nicely too and doesn't feel like there's stuff just like sitting on my skin all day.

am absolutely amazed by the transformation in my skin after 5 months of use. I was extremely insecure about my severe acne, so i switched to cerave. I used this moisturizer and acne control wash and gel. My skin is completely free of acne! I'm so grateful for these products and will continue to use them.

when first applied it has a matt finish, but after a little while, it becomes even oilier than the way it was before (even when I was not using this product). it’s not good for oily skin and my skin has broken out :( really disappointed because I was also using other cerave products and they work well

I really really wanted to like this oil control gel cream as I use so many other Cerave products. But unfortunately it makes my face even more shiny. I usually expect an oil control product to mattify and reduce shine, but this did the opposite for me.

I have combination skin. I've been on the lookout for a good facial moisturizer that doesn't burn, sting the eyes, or make me greasy. This has been perfect. Its for sure lighter than the Cerave Daily Moisturizing Lotion (which has been my go to) and personally it performs better than the Cerave AM or PM moisturizer. I hope this one is here to stay.

I wanted to love this but it made my face have a burning sensation once applied to clean skin. I like that’s there’s no fragrance.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE don't ever quit making this product! I have never found anything that works this good!! Oily girls rejoice!! This makes my face look amazing with an actual glow instead of an oily mess. Praise little baby Jesus!!

Made my skin really oily and greasy, I didn’t think it was possible for it to be more oily! It gave me acne and red spots too.

I’ve been using this for almost a month and it has clogged my pores. I’ve had so many blackheads and pimples. I’m going back to CeraVe PM Moisturizing Lotion, Night Cream for All Skin Types. I used that for a year and never had any issues. I highly recommend that if you have oily skin!

This cream made my skin extremely sweaty. Used a website to double check the ingredients, turns out there are indeed comedogenic ingredients used in this product. Great! Money down the drain.

This product contains isopropyl myristate, which is extremely comedogenic, along with C14-C22 alcohols and cetearyl alcohol which are both fatty alcohols and moderately comedogenic. I don't normally write reviews but it's so unethical to advertise a product toward those with oily skin at a higher price point and then include ingredients like this. This product may not break out a majority of people but if you're acne-prone then you should avoid this to prevent giving yourself closed comedones.

Burns, idk what they did. I used all cerave and they’ve had to change the formula. I have extremely sensitive skin and cerave was my go to.

I love the matte finish, but it unfortunately broke me out on several occasions after a few days of use. I have read similair reports on Reddit and in this review section. Unfortunate, but I will stick to the AM SPF moisturizer from Cerave. Know your skin well!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For those with acne prone skin, anything that helps control oil is a must. I used it over a salicylic acne serum and it did not pill, but i don't think it leaves a matte finish -- more like a normal skin finish. My skin felt well hydrated, but my shiny spots never really went away until I applied powder over them. I am a fan of the anti-bacterial bottle design.

works fine! I have combo skin so this made my nose, cheeks close to my nose, and my forehead look great but it broke me out with a ton of big white bumps everywhere else. might work better for people with all around oily skin?
