CeraVe AM Face Moisturizer SPF 30 is an oil-free daily facial moisturizing lotion with SPF 30, hyaluronic acid and niacinamide that offers UV protection, and contains ceramides to help restore the skin's barrier. This CeraVe face moisturizer with sunscreen is a hydrating facial lotion that spreads easily, is absorbed quickly, and leaves a non-greasy finish. Non-comedogenic face sunscreen won't clog pores, so is suitable for all skin types. This CeraVe sunscreen moisturizer features three essential ceramides, hydrating hyaluronic acid and soothing niacinamide, plus patented MVE Delivery Technology to supply much-needed moisture throughout the day. Sunscreen for face is allergy tested, oil-free, fragrance-free, and developed with dermatologists.

Unlock the pump for first time use by twisting it to the left and pressing down several times until the product comes out. Note: You may actually have to press down on the pump as many as 10-20 times to initially begin dispensing lotion.
Apply liberally 15 minutes before sun exposure
Reapply at least every 2 hours
Use a water-resistant sunscreen if swimming or sweating
Children under 6 months of age, ask a doctor

submitted byDanaMc - 7 years agoA: Yes, absolutely. If I happen to go to the beach I bring along a stronger sunscreen to reapply. Everyday for at least 5 years or more I have religiously used this lotion putting it on once a day before foundation/ concealer. (I also use it on my neck and décolletage). It’s light enough to soak in and not leave greasy residue. The higher spf’s tend to get chalkier so I like this texture a lot. Plus I have oily skin and swear by this stuff. I hope this helps :)

A: My determotolgist suggested once a day is fine, but if I know I'll be in the sun all day to reapply a sunscreen mid day.

0/10. I wish I would have read reviews before buying this. I usually use La Roche Posay’s SPF 30 moisturizer, but the price has gone up so I thought I would give this a try as it’s $8 less. I used it for the first time today and it did not absorb into my skin at all, it left a white cast all over my face and neck. I will go back to paying for my other SPF, which wears beautifully on my brown skin and under makeup.

The lotion is nice except the 30SPF makes it so thick and pasty I have to thin it with water just to be able to put it on without having to use a ton and having it pill up. So I'm getting less of the active ingredients. I wish there were a version without SPF. I'll put my own sunscreen on over it.

Has an odd scent

I love the cerave brand and was excited to try this moisturizer & spf combo. I have sensitive skin and am allergic to a lot of different ingredients. This is did not break me out or cause any rashes. It felt nice going on my skin. It does pill if you put too much on at once. I found that if you apply small amounts at a time and gently pat the product in, it won't pill as much. After a few weeks, it started to smell weird. Not the typically spf smell, but something odd. Maybe I got a bad batch. But I stopped using it after I noticed the smell.

I use Cerave everything. Except this one. This leaves an oily film and clogs my pores. It causes me to break out on my face and get milia around my eyes. I choose to use the lightweight PM moisturizer and put a different brand of sunscreen on top during the day.

0 stars if i could. i’ve never left a product review in my life but DO NOT BUY THIS!! i’ve also never had a bad reaction so a skincare product. almost right after using this product i developed a red swollen rash around my mouth, nose, and on my cheeks. it’s been over 24 hours now and after taking benadryl and applying hydrocortisone cream it has still not gone away. it feels like a slightly itchy, tingly sun burn. i was wondering all day yesterday how this product could have caused this since it had such good reviews and because ive used cerave night time moisturizer before but then i looked at the 1 star reviews and it seems this is a pretty common problem. i graduate college tomorrow and will now have an red and irritated face. very disappointed, they need to discontinue this product or change the formula asap

This moisturizer does not absorb well at all. It clumps very easily into fine threadlike particles. The more you touch it, the more it clumps. Even in areas it does not clump, the sunscreen is sitll highly visible.

My all time favorite face moisturizer! My skin is very sensitive so I can’t use certain products but this makes my facial feel amazing! It has no scent which I love and and sun protection. The texture is very smooth and not think at all.

I would not recommend this product despite being very loyal to the CeraVe brand. This sunscreen does not absorb well, and it leaves a white residue that pills on my skin. The few times I tired it I had to use a tissue to wipe away the white flecks. I do have combination dry/oily skin so that may have something to do with it, but I have never had this particular issue with any other sunscreen I’ve ever used. I do recommend the ultra light version of this product as I have not had a single issue since I switched.

I love this brand and have many other products that i think are great. However, I have a medium complexion and this product does not work well for me at all. It leaves a significant white cast and as i try to keep blending it in, it begins to peel. I was extremely disappointed with this.

This is lotion part of my everyday routine! It is very effective after washing my face each morning. The texture does reflect the fact it has spf built in, which is something I want for screen time and outdoors.

This left a horrible white cast on my skin. It was so hard to blend into my skin. It also pilled so badly and I had white streaks all over my face. I will not be buying again

I love absolutely love CeraVe products, but this one does not work if you have darker skin or need extra hydration. It leaves a white cast that is difficult to get rid of or you must try to blend it with a facial serum, but you will be blending for around 5-10 minutes, so better to avoid. it is also very drying, it is lightweight but no hydratin at all, I will ssay pass on this one.
