Smells like rubbing alcohol
Latest formula smells like rubbing alcohol. I've been using this product for years and never had a bottle smell awful like this latest purchase.

Not a great start
I purchased the cleanser and lotion after watching video reviews and doing follow-up reading. I was looking to correct hyperpigmentation and have t-zone sensitive skin. Both products smell like chemicals and the lotion leaves a sticky residue. After two weeks I got my first pimple in years. May be the random sunflower oil??? It also leaves a burning sensation on my skin. I wanted this to work but you should not feel dirty and poisoned after washing and moisturizing your face. 😭

BUY IT!
highly effective. as a former esthetician I always pass this along when using these types of cleansers. Always let the cleanser sit on your skin for about five minutes before rinsing it off. penetrates in the skin and noticably brighter where the results I noticed the most! however their Vitamin C serum needs help.

I can’t say that this product doesn’t work. It does… it cleared up my skin well and I loved the results… except it’s made me very itchy. This product could be great for some people, but for those with sensitive skin, this may cause a reaction. I don’t have sensitive skin, however, and still might have had an allergic reaction.

Whitehead Breakouts
Not sure about this as every time I use it I break out in small whiteheads. Has anyone had this happen to them?

Weird snell
Just bought this today and I noticed it has a weird smell like plastic or a chemical when it’s suppose to be fragrance free. I haven’t seen anyone else say in there review that they noticed it had a smell not sure if it’s defective or if I got a bad batch

Skin Irritation
I have been using Cetaphil products on my face for more than twenty years. Specifically, the Gentle Skin Cleanser, Moisturizing Lotion, and SPF 15 Moisturizer. Over the past 6-8 months I’ve started trying some of the SA products and they all have caused irritation and breakouts. I thought this one would be different, but sadly I was wrong. I’ve only been using at night on the weekends (Saturday and Sunday) for the last four weeks and although it started out nicely, after week three I started noticing some new breakouts. Week four, skin irritation and stinging. Sorry Cetaphil, this product is a fail.

Effective her non drying
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cleanser didn't bother my sensitive skin and I found it effective enough for my acne. It has no scent which is a plus for me, and cleanses well enough to get rid of my makeup remover. It isn't overly drying either! I can't complain.

Terrible
Bought it today and pump broke before I could even try it. This product is more expensive than my Cerave SA cleanser but here's the thing, the pump from my completely used Cerave cleanser still works. I pit this cleanser in the used bottle. I'll just buy my Cerave cleanser from now on. I have no issues with the pump, product is excellent and it costs less than the Cetaphil with the faulty packaging. Why would thebbuy the stupid alternative? I never will again. Learn from my mistake!

Good enough for me
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was not bad. It wasn’t as good in my opinion as the normal gentle face cleanser and I didn’t notice any exfoliation happening, but overall my face still felt clean and it didn’t irritate my sensitive skin. No scent. Clean and easy!

Gentle effective cleanser
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product complimentary for my honest review. I was happy to get this cleanser. I need something that is gentle and won't aggravate my skin while doing it's job. I recommend this product!

One of my favorite cleansers
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It has become one of my favorite cleansers, I really like that it chemically exfoliates your skin and you can use it daily without worries. It contains niacinamide, salicylic acid, glycerin, panthenol, all good products if your skin is acne-prone like mine. I like that the feeling of freshness and cleanliness on your face after using it is long-lasting

Effective cleanse
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A gentle exfoliating cleanser used to wash the face and honestly great for the body too. A good lather for that nice clean. Very generous size for a face wash.

Pretty good
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the pump packaging. It makes it so easy to use in the shower, no battling with slippery screw on lids! I usually like scented and foaming cleansers, and wasn't sure how this would work as an exfoliator because there's no beads or scrub in it. I'm surprised that it feels good and works well!

Not as good as I'd hoped
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I didn't find it as exfoliating as I'd hoped. I've tried plenty of gentle exfoliators, and this one just doesn't help get rid of the dead skin as some others. I like that there's no fragrance or nasty ingredients for those of us with sensitive skin.
