A: Methylcelulose is not the same as corn dextrin fiber. This is like Benefiber whereas methylcelulose is the soluble fiber in Citrucel.

Deceptive search results
I searched the Target website for psyllium husk powder, and this product came up in the search results. I didn't see the brand of psyllium husk powder I bought last time, so I bought this. It wasn't until I got home and took off the foil inner liner that I discovered it is NOT psyllium but wheat dextrose. Not at all what I wanted, but I assume it's too late to return it since it's opened.

Clumpy!
I've been using this fiber for years, but the latest product is not the same. It is no longer 100% Dextrin- it's now wheat Dextrin. It is a yellowish color & no matter how much I stir it, it just clumps up and won't dissolve. I tried picking the clumps out and drink it, but it tasted awful. The previous powder was tasteless and truly clear. Don't waste your money. I'm off to find a new product that does not contain wheat.

Ineffective waste of money
I tried this Benefiber Knockoff for about a week before giving up. It sticks to the bottom of the glass even after several minutes of stirring so I had to scrape up off the bottom of the glass and basically eat it. Still constipated with no relief even though I followed the directions. Worthless product. Never again.

Bring back the old version
I’ve been using this for the last few years and it’s helped tremendously with my IBS. The prior formula was Dextrin and gluten free. It dissolved perfectly. The new formula is wheat dextrin and does not dissolve. Please bring back the old version!

Bring back the old version!
I’ve been getting this Up and Up version for 1 year now and I’ve loved how quickly it dissolves and doesn’t have a taste. It was so affective and I’ve loved it more than anything else I’ve tried. I went to look for it in stores and noticed the packaging changed. I grabbed it hoping it was the same formula but it wasn’t! It doesn’t dissolve it only clumps! And it’s thick in consistency whereas the first one was perfect consistency. I’m so upset. Please bring back the original formula!!
