Q: Are these suitable to mount to a door without damaging surface when removed?

submitted by WYNE - 5 months ago

  • A: Thank you for reaching out with your question about our Command™ products. Command™ products do not damage surfaces as long as the instructions are followed carefully and the surface is smooth and flat. Textured or uneven surfaces prevent proper adhesion and may lead to product failure. We also encourage you to read the information and instructions on the back of the packaging before use. If there’s anything else we can help with, please don’t hesitate to contact us at 1-800-934-7355, available Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM CT. -MC

Works as advertised. Like that it has two hooks. Looks great in open space and appears more expensive than the thick plastic options.

Online $8, in store nearly $15. Anyways, I put them up and within 20 minutes one just randomly fell on the wall. I hadn’t put anything on them obviously to let them dry per instructions but I’m not convinced that these will be worth anything.

    Eh?

I bought these to help with hanging festive garland in my house for the holidays (it’s really not even that heavy but the previous 2 lb hooks always fell off). 1/2 of them held up over the course of 24-48 hours…for how much $$ I spent I would’ve hoped they stayed up better. Also you need the thicker opaque white strips for these and CANNOT use the clear thin adhesives, it will not find the wall or surface you want to stick it to.

    DON'T BUY! THEY DON'T LAST!

As many other have stated, the plastic backing piece breaks suddenly which causes the hook to fall off with whatever you had hanging on it. We had ONE hoodie hanging this on the back of the closet door. I was in the closet looking for something and this broke right in front of my. It's way under the weight limit. This appears to just be a bad design. It wouldn't even bother me that much if they would just offer the plastic piece separately, but they don't, so now it's just trash.
