I know it says directly on the package that these don't work on anything except a smooth surface. We are renting a home and I was hoping to hang some temporary Christmas decorations. These definitely did not hold up on our walls that have drywall texture on them. I was super bummed. I was hoping I could get them to stick. Unfortunately, I cannot speak to how they hold up on smooth surfaces. I'm sure they work great there though!

Measurements pictured are incorrect. Hook is actually 0.7” in diameter. I can’t use them for what I wanted but I’ll keep them because they’re so useful.

Good quality, hold better than the other types of hooks. The adhesive is really strong. I used these outdoors on my balcony. I live in Florida, and it holds up to the heat and humidity.

Im using on the side of my trash can near the top /upside down...I can then take the pull string on trash bags and attach to the hooks there fore keeping the trash bag open etc. when full just take the pull string from the hooks and pull out of trash can. So very helpful.

I bought these while remodeling and was so excited not to have holes in the walls for pictures and such. I hung 5 in one day in different rooms in the house. I followed the directions exactly. When everything was ready I hung my pictures. Three out of five fell off the wall and took the paint off of the sheet rock with them. I will not use these again. They 'do harm.' P.S. No photos taken. I just fixed the damage.

I installed one hook each for my broom, mop, and long duster - carefully following the instructions. My joy at finding these has been dashed, as each time I take the broom off the hook, the entire hook falls off the hook bracket. The bracket sticks to the wall very well. I've never had any problems with Command Brand in the past, and am very disappointed with this product.
