Connect 4 Board Game - Hearth & Hand™ with Magnolia

I usually love anything Magnolia, but the toxic smell of this set forced me to return it.

Looks great on a book shelf and easy to put back in ‘book’ when finished

Fun game and beautiful display! Great value and fast shipping. Be advised, the slider button on the bottom is not very sturdy, so chips can tumble out with no notice.

I love the esthetics of the game but the more chips you put in the slider gives way in the middle of the game. It’s like it can’t hold the weight of the chips.

This set is super cute and I was super excited to have the set being I purchased all 4. Unfortunately, once I got home I realized how strong of a toxic smell they all have, they smell straight like gasoline and were giving me a headache. I had to return.

WThe entire family enjoys it. I hope they add more to complete set along with other games.

The games themselves are cute, but just like the other reviewers have said, they have the worst chemical smell that takes weeks to dissipate. Filled up my entire living room for days I put it outside in the trunk of our van to let it air out for another couple of days. It filled the entire van with the chemical smell. I would’ve returned it, but I tried to spray with disinfectant spray and it warped the box. I don’t know what it is. They either left it in a chemical factory before shipping or they use too many chemicals to put it together. Definitely bad for your environment.

I love the idea that this is contained in a nice box that I can store on a shelf standing or on it’s side but the chemical smell is overwhelming. I have kept the box open to allow the game to air out and the box to air out. The game has been out. After putting back in the box the smell still is there. It is overwhelming. I hate to have my grandchildren play with it for fear of it being toxic.

We already loved Connect 4, but this Hearth & Hand version makes it display-worthy! The wooden frame and neutral tones blend beautifully with our decor—I don’t feel the need to stash it away after game night. It’s become a staple on our console table and guests always comment on how pretty it is. It’s the perfect combo of fun and functional, and a great reminder that even family games can be stylish. Another win from Hearth & Hand—please keep the elevated board games coming, Target! I’m here for it. 👏🎯

These are made by WS Games so it matches my existing bookshelf edition games. They are a great addition to any classic board game lover and the book-look is why I got this. Warning! This product smells terrible! I hope I can air it out but it has a strong petroleum-like chemical smell.

Gorgeous version of these classic games! Really nice pieces. Overpriced? Sure. Still worth it for fun and decor? YES. Wish they had more!
