Great if you can get past the smell
Perfect, except the smell is ATROCIOUS. It smells like straight gasoline.We purchased several other of the games in this set and they all have the same smell, but Connect 4 is the worst offender. Also, the grid on this is smaller than the original.

damaged return
Was clearly a return because it's missing packaging parts, was put back in backwards, and the box is damaged. I put the other game I ordered from this line next to it for comparison. I'm not returning cause all the parts are still inside, but this should not have been accepted as a return in this condition. Would not have expected this from Target.

Toxic smell, literally smells like gasoline
This set is super cute and I was super excited to have the set being I purchased all 4. Unfortunately, once I got home I realized how strong of a toxic smell they all have, they smell straight like gasoline and were giving me a headache. I had to return.

The smell is incredibly strong and bad.
The games themselves are cute, but just like the other reviewers have said, they have the worst chemical smell that takes weeks to dissipate. Filled up my entire living room for days I put it outside in the trunk of our van to let it air out for another couple of days. It filled the entire van with the chemical smell. I would’ve returned it, but I tried to spray with disinfectant spray and it warped the box. I don’t know what it is. They either left it in a chemical factory before shipping or they use too many chemicals to put it together. Definitely bad for your environment.

Connect 4 Game Hearth And Home
I love the idea that this is contained in a nice box that I can store on a shelf standing or on it’s side but the chemical smell is overwhelming. I have kept the box open to allow the game to air out and the box to air out. The game has been out. After putting back in the box the smell still is there. It is overwhelming. I hate to have my grandchildren play with it for fear of it being toxic.

We already loved Connect 4, but this Hearth & Hand version makes it display-worthy! The wooden frame and neutral tones blend beautifully with our decor—I don’t feel the need to stash it away after game night. STINKY TOO
These are made by WS Games so it matches my existing bookshelf edition games. They are a great addition to any classic board game lover and the book-look is why I got this. Warning! This product smells terrible! I hope I can air it out but it has a strong petroleum-like chemical smell.
