Horrible Horrible Odor
I purchased Sorry and Connect 4 and both games have horrible chemical toxic odor coming from the storage books. My entire family on game night could not stand the smell. I have both games out of the house and on the porch airing out and I hope the smell goes away since I like the unique storage design just not the fumes. Magnolia should be concerned for the families purchasing these products because of the toxic smell.

Great once you get past the smell.
Perfect, except the smell is ATROCIOUS. It smells like straight gasoline. We purchased several other of the games in this set and they all have the same smell, they all have it, but Connect 4 is the worst offender. Be careful with the board in Sorry- it is a bit more fragile. We had to tape up the seams on the underside within a day of having it.

Toxic smell - keep away from kids
Love the idea like a Book cover to place it on the shelf while inside is a board game. When I opened it inside a store before purchase it smelled so bad. Toxic chemical smell. What are they thinking? Especially Magnolia could have done way better. Sadly, no way this would be inside our home around children. Not to mention it’s overpriced.

Beautiful but quality questionable
It’s quite a beautiful piece of decor and the game pieces are wooden which I love but as I was closing up (through no fault of my own) the game board ripped. I just purchased this yesterday so I’m quite disappointed with the craftsmanship of the board. I have the scrabble version of this with the vintage bookshelf edition (so it’s very similar) and the game board seems so much sturdier. I don’t have children but I can’t imagine this lasting very long if children play with it. It also had a strong chemical smell coming out of the box and opening it up.
