Toxic smell - keep away from kids
Love the idea like a Book cover to place it on the shelf while inside is a board game. When I opened it inside a store before purchase it smelled so bad. Toxic chemical smell. What are they thinking? Especially Magnolia could have done way better. Sadly, no way this would be inside our home around children. Not to mention it’s overpriced.

Beautiful but quality questionable
It’s quite a beautiful piece of decor and the game pieces are wooden which I love but as I was closing up (through no fault of my own) the game board ripped. I just purchased this yesterday so I’m quite disappointed with the craftsmanship of the board. I have the scrabble version of this with the vintage bookshelf edition (so it’s very similar) and the game board seems so much sturdier. I don’t have children but I can’t imagine this lasting very long if children play with it. It also had a strong chemical smell coming out of the box and opening it up.
