Be a fashion designer and sew your own stylish fashions and accessories with the Cool Maker Stitch ‘N Style Fashion Studio! Featuring a sewing machine with a pre-threaded cartridge (no threading needed) and smart-stitch fabric sensors that know when to sew; a large sheet of pre-printed patterned fabric, decorative water transfer prints and more, this kids sewing kit makes it easy to learn real sewing. Cut out the templates from the fabric and stitch and style six super cute accessories: a sunglasses case, belt bag, scrunchie, headband, purse and a plushie! The Stitch ‘N Style Fashion Studio also works with most fabrics, so you can make even more amazing creations. The machine’s smart-stitch sensors make it a great beginner sewing machine! Fold the fabric edges and use the clips to keep fabric in place, then guide the fabric towards the needle. The machine automatically starts sewing and stops before it reaches the fabric’s edge! My 8 year old daughter has been using this genius little machine for months now, and it’s been reliable and a lot of fun! I wish all sewing machines could be as easy to use as this—it’s gotta be the next step in sewing machine design. My daughter has been using it all by herself after a day of learning. She uses quilting cotton fabric and even ribbon, and it works great. And the price is amazingly affordable. However, I’m not a huge fan of the projects it comes with. The material is so-so, the transfers are a little hard to work with, and some are kinda hard for a kid (I helped a lot with the purse). She’s been using it so much that the cartridge ran out of thread. I’m here to say that it is possible to refill the cartridge with thread yourself! I have a mini screwdriver from an iPhone repair kit, and I did previously disassemble the cartridge to figure out how it was put together (take pictures for reference). It’s a little tricky, but if you can get the spring to reattach, the thread strung through properly, and make sure the needle comes out the bottom correctly, it will work again!

This machine is an absolute frustrating headache and a complete piece of junk. We watched numerous YouTube tutorials, read the directions and both parents have tried to help our daughter be successful with this. It is the most glitchy, finicky and frustrating machine. We poured hours into trying to make it work and all it resulted in is two frustrated parents and a disappointed daughter in tears.

Got this to teach granddaughter to sew. Less than adequate instructions. Cute little chain stitch machine but tends to run on its own or not at all. No foot peddle or anything similar to real machine. Very safe for small child, but runs too fast for them to handle.
