Coola Classic Makeup Setting Spray - SPF 30 - 1.5oz - Ulta Beauty

This literally gave me an extreme allergic reaction! First time it took days to repair my skin barrier from all of the damage. It was so uncomfortable for the first few days that I didn't even sleep bc I wanted to claw my face off from itching and burning. Maybe it works for some, but not worth the risk bc this is the most awful thing I've ever experienced--and I know this was the culprit bc I tried it once and blamed another product that I've since used with no issues. So more recently I put this on my regular tried and true routine and it did it again. I'm so mad at myself for even trying it. I'm miserable from the itching and pain and I look absolutely ridiculous. I had so many plans for the week esp being my 40th birthday but yet again I can't sleep for wanting to claw my face. I can barely get relief, taking prednisone for the inflammation and it's barely helping and every product you would usually use to soothe your skin literally burns. FYI these products have given some relief: diaper rash cream (purple tube of desitin) and la roche posay ceramide skin barrier moisturizer and avene cicalfate restorative protective cream with Vaseline or aquaphor on top. And lots of cold compresses. I'm on my 3rd night of dealing with this trauma and really hoping I can sleep and finally some relief.

Don't buy if you have sensitive skin!!! I had my face blow up be red hot and white bumps along with hives! Has taken me days for this to go away maybe even a week! This was the 2nd time it happened to me so I decided to read the reviews as this was the only thing connected to last time it happened!!

The smell of the spray is terrible and it's very sticky if you get on your clothes but the worse part is that it left my skin feeling burned, red, itchy and irritated. I don't know what ingredient in it is causing it but seems like others have reported the same thing. I love coola products but not this one.

I have problems with SPF moisturizers. I do like SPF in addition to that in my foundation. Having SPF in a setting spray is ideal. In addition to the SPF, the spray offers a lightweight, quick drying formula that holds foundation/powder firmly in place. I usually do not need to reapply. If I do, it does not cause make-up to become cakey.

I think I am allergic to this product. After a couple hours my face and neck were burning and itchy, especially around my eyes and neck. Showed photos to my doctor and they said contact dermatitis.

I have used this for years and it is my all-time fav. The scent is amazing! I NEVER get sunburned with it on, and absolutely love that it keeps my makeup in place. I'm a little confused about the negative reviews on this product—it sounds like there might have been a bad batch?

I have spent hundreds of dollars on sunscreens trying to find one that works for my face that isn't immediately discontinued after finding (looking at you, Hang Ten+COOLA Classic Face). With that in mind, I tried this setting spray, and ended up getting photocontact dermatitis after being outside on a sunny day. Resulting in a very hot, flush face, red bumps, which developed into white pus-filled acne-like bumps. This one was so bad it took nearly two weeks for my face to go back to normal. This isn't the only COOLA sunscreen product that caused this issue on my face, and only my face. Other than the Avobenzone which is linked to this issue, I haven't been able to identify the reason why some sunscreens with it cause this issue and some do not. So, because this product has caused me pain, both physically and mentally, heck I'll throw emotionally in there too as my feelings were hurt, I cannot recommend it to others like myself. This one wasn't even thrown into the basket full of sunscreens condemned for body use only—my reaction was so bad I became frightened of it happening to this extent again and I dumped it out.

I used to love this product. I opened my THIRD bottle today… However I put this on 8 hours ago and can STILL smell it on my face. And it doesn’t smell good.

Product seems nice but I’m giving this 1 star because the spray function broke IMMEDIATELY. Literally my first time using it and at first it was spraying fine and then just locked up completely, would not spray. Completely unusable so I had to pour it into a spray bottle I had at home. Ridiculous! This isn’t cheap.

I don't have sensitive skin so this product worked great for me. I apply it in the afternoons when I go walk with my husband over my makeup. It leaves a matte finish. Great way to re apply sod. I'm glad I bought it cause the reviews were mixed. I have combination skin.

I love the concept of a Sunscreen + Setting Spray but this product is simply not it. It leaves an extremely sticky film on hair and clothes, smells like 90s hairspray, and burns my skin. I do not recommend this product.

It burns when you spray it on your face and it has a weird smell. Just not worth it to me for the price. If you have dry skin don't use this.

cute packaging but it leaks and gets hard crust on the applicator thats hard to scrape off and unsanitary. it also burns if you have any open cuts or acne on your skin. alcohol smell is very strong to the point where it smells like you've been drinking, which isnt ideal for driving and at work. i dont think the applicator sprays evenly and keep it far away from your hair. it leaves it sticky like you just sprayed hairspray. i originally wanted to purchase the Kopari Glow Spf Setting Spray but it was out of stock and decided to try the coola version. had high hopes for the high price but i used the product for two months and was extremely disappointed.

makes my eyeliner smudge beyond belief and makes my face makeup separate. not worth it as a setting spray for makeup

I would not repurchase this product soley because of the smell. Its so bad I gagged the few times I used it. Glad i bought it during 21 days and didnt have to pay full price.

I have been looking for something that I can use to reapply sunscreen on my face throughout the day and this is that product. I always find that other SPF products will ruin my makeup application but this actually just refreshes my face and I love that it has SPF in it. This product doesn't cause any pilling or separating of makeup and also if I want to reapply my makeup before or after applying this there are no issues. It's a wonderful product as someone who lives in Southern California because I can just throw it in my bag and carry with me. It's also travel sized so perfect for trips where you will be out and about in the sun. When I first applied the Coola spray, I was immediately overwhelmed by the strong scent of alcohol, and it caused a burning sensation in some areas of my skin a few seconds after application. I liked the glow it provided to my skin after applying initially, but it quickly stiffened on my face and made me look and feel a bit greasy. The feeling reminded me of how bug spray sits on the skin after a few minutes. I loved the packaging and the bottle misting application, but unfortunately, my skin and this product did not mesh well. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been a big fan of Coola products for a long time so I was super excited to get a chance to try their new Suncare Classic Face Makeup Setting Spray. The formula includes cucumber and aloe vera extracts which are incredibly soothing and hydrating along with hyaluronic acid to tone your skin and keep it hydrated. And with SPF30 I was sure it would be perfect for long days at the ball park during baseball season. However I was immediately thrown a few setbacks. After doing a gorgeous full face of makeup, I followed the directions and sprayed my face with my eye closed and it took my breath away. As in I couldn't breathe for a second. I could have dealt with that but the biggest problem was that despite having my eyes closed, it made my eyes water and run for an hour after applying it until I eventually washed it off. Which is a shame because as a setting spray it's AMAZING. The whole time I had tears running down my face my makeup DID NOT BUDGE. After the first use I passed it off as user error and tried it again a few times taking greater care to avoid my eye area but wasn't successful and had to wash it away every time. It's so nice to have a product that is 2-in-1 and fixes the issue of reapplying sunscreen while wearing makeup. I definitely feel like it does help my makeup to last longer than it would otherwise. I often prefer a glowy finish to my makeup and this product does not do that, but that is how this product was designed to work. I am however excited to see how this performs in the summer when I prefer a less luminous finish. Something I dislike about this setting spray is the fact that it smells strongly of alcohol and is honestly off-putting to spray on my face.
