A: Hello Dish, thanks for the question! Our Corelle bowls and plates are made out of Vitrelle glass, a durable, yet lightweight material. The weight of all the items in our Veranda set combined is roughly 7 pounds, but the heaviest individual item, the dinner plate, weighs only 0.75 pounds!

Q: Are the designs embossed? Will the designs rub off or get wear marks from the dishes rubbing against each other when stacked?

A: Hi Kim! The design is not embossed. You shouldn't have trouble with fading as long as you use a detergent with no bleach or oxi cleaners.

Q: How big are the plates (in inches)? Is the bread and butter plate the same size as an appetizer plate? Are the 10 oz bowls the same size as dessert bowls?

A: Hi Kim! The dinner plates are 10.25" and the smaller plates are 6.75". Yes, our bread and butter plates are also referred to as appetizer plates and the 10 ounce bowls are perfect for dessert.

The appetizer plate is gorgeous but the dinner plate is kind of childish/tacky in person. They look cute together though. Would probably be great for just an outdoor set if you do that kind of thing. It is called "veranda" after all. The appetizer plate is tiny (I should have read the description closer) and so are the bowls. Will be returning.

Bought these to replace a Corelle set well over 25 years old; only broke one piece over all of those years. This new set is the classic style but with a great design. Love the fact that you get the small size bowls rather than the mugs. Bought three sets for a total of 12 place settings. I am sure these will last just as long as the set replaced. You just can't go wrong with Corelle.

This is a great dish set for families. Yes, stoneware is pretty...but it's so heavy, bulky and prone to chipping. This Corelle set has contemporary colors and is so lightweight and durable. Kids can easily help set the table, load dishwasher, etc. Nice and compact. Affordable, too. A great fit for us. Happy with our purchase!

Loved the design and have kids so perfect set. Bought in store, and opened right after to insure none damaged. Kind of Matte finish on design for large plates. No scratches yet after 2 months with much dishwasher use. Had correll at home as a kid, and those plates lasted my parents 40 yrs, so hopefully quality still great.

I wanted 2 sets of these but decided to order one. I wanted to see if I liked them. So glad I didn’t order 2. The trim on the dinner plates is rubbing/scratching off. The salad plates were just sitting on top or them sliding around with no protection between them. I thought corelle was better than this.
