If you buy it, buy the warranty
We purchased two of these umbrellas and initially liked them. They have great shade coverage, the canvas is sturdy, and I like that you can adjust the height and angle of the umbrella. I quickly noticed the umbrellas don’t stay in place well, as they shift and turn if there’s even a slight breeze. Not a big deal. However, after just 4 uses the handle/adjuster broke. It’s not something that could be repaired with glue or industrial all-weather tape. When reviewing my purchase history, I realized that I uncharacteristically had not purchased the warranty. Overall, this product has some pros but i was disappointed how quickly it broke. If you buy it, buy the warranty too!

Horrible design stay away
Horrible design, I received it but we had horrible weather and rain the last month, finally got around to putting it together and the base is tiny, it can't hold its own weight, the lights has no on/off switch so there is no way to conserve the solar light battery and its junk.. now I'm passed the return window by 2 days and they won't even take it back. What a waste of money. Stay away!

Great umbrella, but has some drawbacks
The umbrella is very nice and large. I have a L style sectional on my deck and it shades the whole thing. This umbrella is extremely sensitive to even the slightest breeze so keep that in mind. If I lived in a house with a constant breeze (like a beach location) I would not purchase. Also due to the design it is top heavy so make sure you have it weighted down well before putting up otherwise you will struggle with keeping it standing. It does have the ability to nail it down but I like to change things around so I have it weighted about 75lbs of weight. The design is sleek and nice but it does have some drawbacks to keep in mind before purchasing.

Can’t get it to stay up with even the slightest wind . We put sand bags on the base and it still blew over. Can’t return it because while I was putting it together my dog destroyed the box. What a waste of money. DO NIT BUY THIS !!!!

Broken solar disc
The umbrella came with a broken solar panel disc. We called Costway and they told us to call Target for a replacement solar panel disc. Called Target and they never got back to us. So now we have an umbrella without functional lights. The umbrella itself is good and takes about 20 minutes to put together. It’s heavy and definitely needs a solid base or sand bags to keep it held down.

You have to purchase separate a heavy base weight to put on top. Will topple over and is very tall. I do not recommend. Such a disappointment. Thought the reviews were too good to be true. My husband has to stand on the base to prevent it from falling. This is not worth the money.
