Q: Does the screen wipe off easily and completely with the cloth? My daughter received the "As seen on TV" magic board and it is a disaster to clean off. Horrible product.

A: My 2.5 year old and 5 year old each have one and love it. It says 6 and up but I don’t by I to that when they put ages on things. My 5 year old has been obsessed with drawing since age 3.

I purchased this product and was disheartened to discover that replacement markers aren’t available. It’s incredibly frustrating to think that I’ll need to buy an entirely new set just because the markers run out. This feels like a blatant attempt to force customers into unnecessary purchases.

So I gave this as a Christmas gift to an Angel Tree child, so I don’t know how well it held up or it’s features, but the value is amazing. Each year I buy for roughly 6-10 kids (I’m not rich just an only child with no kids, nieces, or other children to spoil) and toys are the primary requested item on the list. Targets deals always beat the competitors when it comes to toys and being so affordable allows me to buy more toys for more kids. Target is always my go to every Christmas for my Angel Tree list. So, thank you target!

My five-year-old is an avid drawer, and is having a fun time with this. The glowing is well down, and very intriguing. Also the ability to stand it up is great for playing classroom. The only downside is to erase it you need to use a damp cloth, and generously wipe down the whole thing. This has been a tad confusing for my child, given it has the feel of a dry erase board.

For best results, we recommend using only the included markers, Washable Bold & Bright Markers and Washable Window Markers. To clean the board, we suggest wiping the drawing surface with a damp cloth. Dry the board by wiping with a dry cloth to remove any remaining moisture and residue. Drawings left on the surface for an extended period of time may need a drop of liquid dish soap on a damp cloth to remove. Use a dampened cloth with water to remove the liquid dish soap and dry thoroughly with a dry soft cloth to remove any residue. Do not immerse the unit in water to clean. My 4-year old daughter loves drawing on this. The issues I have with it are the light doesn’t work the way the guide says it does, and you HAVE to use a wet AND dry paper towel to clean the marker off. It’s a little bit of a hassle, but certainly not a deal breaker.

I bought this as a Christmas gift 2023 for my granddaughter. It is very cloudy and blurry out of the box. She has used it twice and now I can’t get it to come clean and that is with following the directions. I’m not happy with this product. Kinda wished I would have spent more and gotten her the more expensive one.

*4.75 stars* My four (almost 5) year old got this for Christmas. He Loves it and uses a lot, which makes me so happy. It is a great gift for children that will keep them entertained for long periods of time. I like that you can take the blackboard out and put pictures in its place so you can trace them. My little one uses it as a board so he can be the teacher and teach me letters, numbers, equations, how to draw and many other things. He also likes to sit and have quiet time to just doodle til his little heart’s content. The only reason it isn’t a 5 star review: After the very first doodle, he used the recommended way to clean it (I gave him a damp-no excess water- cloth) and it smeared the screen. The instructions say to only use water. I just got on the website and it says if marker is left for an extended time, light dish soap may need to be used to remove smears and markers…if dish soap is allowed, it should be included on instructions for those who actually use it to prolong the life of the board. It should also include recommended markers as well, since I just read on the website the recommended markers besides those included. The last thing that caused loss of stars is that when we push the button (as instructed) to turn off the light and save batteries, it doesn’t cut off. It also takes longer than stated to automatically turn off, which causes the lights to randomly flash. So either I need to invest in a bunch of batteries to save the hassle of removing them every time he is done, or I have to go through the hassle of taking the batteries out every time he is done and putting them back in when he wants to use it again.

I’m having to return a second one of these ultimate light boards. The first one was cracked and looked all smudged up like someone used it for a while. The second one has scratches on the screen and also looks used. The screen doesn’t come clean at all. Seriously disappointing for my 5 years old grandson.
