Q: Once the gel is gone for that color than the “gel pen” is also? It works only with the gel it comes with? If so can you get refills?

A: That's a great question! The Color Wonder Magic Light Brush & Drawing Pad currently does not have refill options available for paints, however; you may use the special paper and Color Wonder Markers to create with once the paints have been used. Hope this helps!

Maybe my son is to young for this but he let putting it in his mouth and he painted all over and didn’t like that it didn’t paint so he didn’t use it .. but it was a no for us

It looked nice after a few uses but idk what this product is made out of feels like a oil I’m not sure but it dried out the stroke are non existent. I’m having a hard time adding a photo but the strokes you can’t even see the color

It worked great at first and was really cool, but the pads dry out quickly (within 3 days) even with the lid being put on and then it’s literally useless. Which is a bummer because I don’t see a way to refill the pads?

Honestly not worthy. I’m so mad because it’s so cute but the paints are already drying. Bought it 2 weeks ago, used twice. The paints are already drying. So so sad. My little girl loved this thing. But now she can’t even use some colors

I bought two of these one for each of my daughters because of the mess free feature. Honestly I’m super disappointed, the paint dried up after only about three uses and now all you see if scratches. It’s a bummer because they aren’t cheap and now aren’t working anymore.

I’m actually surprised at all the low reviews bc my 4yo has had a blast with this! My only complaint is that to me is that the “ink” smells weird? Also- I anticipated that it would need the special paper once we go through the paper it came with and it’s a little pricey… but that’s on me not wanting to clean up actual paint

I love the idea of this for my 2 year old. She loves to paint and color so this allows a mess free option for her. It does require 4 AA batteries to work so keep that in mind but it’s great to use when traveling. Just like any toddler, she does get bored with it after a while. It also comes with special paper to use so keep that in mind.

I bought it for my daughter for Christmas, and it got damaged super fast. It mixes the colors. I tried to clean it with a dry paper towel as directed, and what came out was like an oily mess, just like the colors.

I’ve gone through two of these now. The first one, the only colors that worked were the blue and purple. On the second, the green and yellow still don’t work. Also, the photos they show on the box of how pigmented the colors are are not accurate. On top of all that, you have to buy their special paper, which is of course not cheap. Overall, a waste of time and money.

I think it is marketed better than the actual thing but. It works good if you read the instructions thoroughly and carefully, wiping the brush is a must but using that specific brush is not, I thought we were not going to be able to use it without batteries but we did and the lights proved useless for us (better for the environment and our economy) we can use it with stamps as an ink pad and that is the hidden gem!

Color wonder mess free paint appears to have absorbed into our table and turned the table colors over a few days. We've only had this table for 3 weeks time and are heart broken that an art set that claims to be mess free, has now permanently ruined our dining room table.

My daughter has only used this twice. We keep the cover on and it's always off when she's not using it. When she is playing with it the colors mix together as she paints. There needs to be a way to clear the last color, it would then be 5 stars. And now we are out of paper trying to fix it.

The yellow color does NOT work, when you try and paint with it, it's a redish blue color.

At first it worked great for a day. Now it is not showing up the color that we are dipping the paint in. It's like the colors are all mixed together. Yellow won't work at all. So it doesn't really work well at all.
