Q: Can you also fill it when it's flat (down) or does it always need to be poured into the maker while it's vertical?

submitted by Deb - 25 days ago
  • A: Deb, great question! The batter will be poured in from the opening at the top of the unit when in the vertical position. In other words, you will need to fill it in the vertical position. It might help to look at the images on the item page as there is one image that shows how the unit is filled. I hope this helps!

Cheap and poorly made

Thumbs down graphic, would not recommend
Scott - 7 days ago, Verified purchaser
The Waffle iron was broken upon arrival. It appears as if it is stanless steel in the pictures but the handles and the spout for pouring in the batter are all cheap plastic. Find a better product, because this is cheap and flimsy. It definitely won't last

It's kind of hard to get the right thickness to make the vertical waffle maker work, but I love how compact it is for storage. Also can't really add anything into the pancakes but just put berries/chocolate chips on top after

I was given this waffle maker as a gift for Christmas. I have had many waffle makers n in my lifetime, but this one is amazing!! So easy to use, just use the scoop, pour and that’s it. The timer goes off, you have a perfect waffle with very little clean up.

Great Waffle Maker

It'll take some getting use to, but its a great waffle maker. The only drawback is, we like to put fresh blueberries in our waffles. But due to the size of the opening the blueberries 🫐 won't fit (unless we puree them). We can work around that.

It actually browns both sides of the waffle and allows you to set how dark you want it.

This is the best waffle maker. It’s so simple to use. Heats up and you use the cup supplied to make the perfect waffle every time. Clean up is a simple wipe down. It basically cleans it self. I have tried others and there’s no comparison. This is the one just buy it you will be very happy you did.

Cuisinart Vertical Waffle Maker Review

5 out of 5 stars

Rating: ★★★★★ (5/5) The Cuisinart Vertical Waffle Maker has truly transformed my breakfast routine into a delightful experience! As someone who enjoys a good homemade waffle, I was intrigued by the unique vertical design, and I can confidently say that it does not disappoint. The sleek and modern design of this waffle maker is aesthetically pleasing and fits seamlessly into my kitchen. The vertical orientation not only saves counter space but also makes pouring batter a breeze—no more messy spills! The non-stick plates ensure that waffles come out perfectly golden and release easily without any sticking. This waffle maker heats up quickly and evenly, producing waffles in just a matter of minutes. The adjustable browning control allows you to customize the crispiness to your liking, whether you prefer fluffy, soft waffles or crispy, golden ones. I've made several batches, experimenting with different batters, and each time the results have been consistently excellent. Using the Cuisinart Vertical Waffle Maker is straightforward. The indicator lights provide clear guidance on when it’s ready to pour batter and when the waffles are done. Cleanup is a breeze as well; the non-stick surface wipes clean effortlessly, and the compact size means it can be easily stored without taking up too much space. What I love most is the versatility it offers. Beyond traditional waffle batter, I’ve tried making cornbread waffles and even dessert waffles with chocolate chips. Each variation has turned out wonderfully, showcasing the appliance's adaptability. The included recipes have also inspired me to get creative in the kitchen. Overall, the Cuisinart Vertical Waffle Maker is a fantastic investment for anyone who loves waffles. It combines style, functionality, and performance, making it a must-have for breakfast enthusiasts. Whether you’re whipping up a quick weekday breakfast or hosting a weekend brunch, this waffle maker is sure to impress. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to elevate their waffle game!

The waffles maker does not work for my homemade waffles. My batter too thick. I think it probably works well with thin batter.

We love this waffle maker. My husband saw it on tv and had to have it. Making waffles has always been so messy, not with this waffle maker. So easy to use and they came out perfect every time. Clean up was simple. A great product.

I have given the waffle maker 4 stars because I have only used it once and the waffles weren’t crispy enough. Making waffles in this machine wasn’t messy at all. The batter didn’t ooze out like in other machines. Now that I am home I will experiment and use a higher setting to make them crispy on the outside! Hope that works.

Makes great waffles. Light & fluffy. & crisp. Mix in a small picture using a immersion mixer. Pours easily into Waffle Maker. We make extras to freeze and toast later on. Use a wet cloth and brush to clean. Stores nicely on counter.

This is great. Love this vertical waffle maker! The nonstick is awesome. My only issue is I don’t know how much to put in. I can’t seem to make a full size waffle with it.

Looks really great and works fine excepting it leaks while cooking. I followed the directions and while the waffle is cooking the butter leaks from the machine. A bit disappointing as I am not sure if that’s expected to happen but it takes time to clean melted butter from the waffle maker.
