Does not hear all the time.
I bought it three months ago, but only started using it two weeks ago. It is not heating every pot brewed. Today was the third time in a week.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the coffee that the pour-over brewer makes! And I trust Cuisinart to have made a solid and durable product. Unfortunately, I wish I'd believed the other reviewers who commented about the thermal carafe. It looks lovely, but it is nearly impossible to pour from it without dribbling. It also does not keep the coffee hot for very long. I had assumed that the plate the carafe rests on would heat up, but it does not, and the heat seems to escape the wide carafe spout very quickly. I'm surprised that Cuisinart hasn't fixed this minor design flaw yet. It's otherwise awesome!

Nice coffee maker with nice features.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this coffee pot a couple weeks ago. It’s a beautiful coffee maker with a great concept. However, I do think it should have a longer bloom time. 10 seconds is too short. They should give you the option of programming the time. And I wish it came in a ten cup. But it is a decent coffee maker. The large water fill is a nice change from other Cuisenart coffee makers.

Acid stomach
I bought this pour over because it's really nice looking and easy to use. What ISN'T explained anywhere is that tthis method of making coffee emphasizes the acidity and I got a whopping stomach ache--I substituted the stainless filter for a paper one because I read online that this method with paper can help lower cholesterol. I've gone back to using my French press but will try this pour over again with the stainless filter and a LOW ACID coffee. Aside from this important information about the pour over method, it WORKS beautifully.

Good morning pick me up!
Received quickly. I have used Cuisinart coffee makers over the past several years. Always satisfied with a good cup of coffee. This pot I have found a flaw or two. Sometimes while pouring the top leaks down the side and fails to beep when brewing complete. Not sure what to do about those issues. I discarded the packing suggestions please. Like the style makes a great cup of joe......tried to troubleshoot

Love this coffee maker! I have been researching automatic pour over machines for a long time and finally settled on this one. Reasons: brand name reputation, programmable, stainless thermal pot, beautiful design. The machine is wonderful! Keeps coffee and hot water hot for hours, and I mean at least 3 hours if not longer. Coffee is pour over delicious and it is jot overly large. It does make a little noise sometimes, mainly when Im not using a paper filter and just brewing for hot water; a slurping noise that i believe is the specialty lid that makes it possible to brew through and not have air get in too much. Not a huge deal. I also purchased a sleek wooden sliding tray to set it in so i can easily pull it out to fill. Love it! Highly recommend!!

Excellent choice for me. Pour over coffee has been part of my daily life for a long time. I was looking for an easier way to enjoy the treat but would not give up the final result. This brewer takes a little time to get the process just right, but the results surpass the expectations.

Why did I wait so long to get this machine ??!!!!!
I have been using my new Cuisinart Pour-Over Coffee Maker for two weeks. I'm sorry I didn't get one sooner. The coffee brews quickly and tastes great. I am also now using a burr-grinder for my beans and filtered water, and the taste is fantastic. I really like the stainless thermal carafe instead of glass. The coffee stays at a hot/warm temperature and doesn't taste old or burned. Safer too! I also liked the fact that I read Cuisinart like-capacity carafes are standard size. The display is easy to operate. It is not too high to fit under most cabinets, and I purchased a medium-sized sliding shelf/base so that I can easily slide the machine to the front of my counter when I am making and brewing. The only thing that took a bit to get used to was going from my 10-cup carafe down to the 8 cup - some experimenting with the amount of coffee/water ratio. Once I found the right measurement, it's been great ever since. It really is a pour-over taste from an electric machine and I highly recommend.

In search of the best cup of java?
Life is short, if you're going to drink coffee, make it the best possible! I like the fact that it brews at 200 degrees to extract the best flavor. Prior to brewing, it pours hot water over the grounds to let them "bloom" then pauses before finishing the brewing process. The end result is a great cup of coffee! I'm very pleased with my purchase.

Better than drip
Overall a solid coffee maker. Flavor is not as good as traditional pour over coffee but a good option when I want a pot ready when I wake up. Definitely tops a traditional drip coffee maker.

Great tasting coffee. Easy to use.
Had to replace one of these cause i broke there old one. New one makes even better tasting coffee than the first. Nothing else in it's price range (and many more expensive ones) can't come close to the flavor of this unit.
