You select a card and scratch off to reveal your date challenge. There is also a section on the back to write down how the date went. They have a price range, if it's indoors or outdoor, and how long the date might take you at the top of each card so it makes selecting one that fits your timeframe and budget a little easier before scratching the card.

The one down side is that they smell so bad upon first opening: like spray paint. But besides that, they're so cute and fun. It even comes with a little coin to scratch off.
