Q: Is it safe to use on nonstick?

A: I've used Dawn Platinum on several Teflon coated pans without any issue. I'm quite surprised Dawn hasn't tested it on anything Teflon though!

Q: Can you use this as a pre-wash spray for heavy, stuck-on-food specific dishes, that will be sitting overnight in the dishwasher. Alternatively, would it be OK to run the dishwasher’s pre-wash cycle with some dishes that have been treated with the spray?

A: If you mean can this be used in the dish washer the answer is NO. If you spray this on the dishes and let sit overnight spray off before you put them in the dishwasher or the washer will over suds.

A: I haven’t had a problem using it on acrylic shower enclosures or the glass. Social media has us mixing dawn with white vinegar and water so I tried it alone.

A: Dawn Powerwash Dish spray has been tested to be used to clean the exterior of porcelain-enameled steel and stainless steel stoves. However, it has not been tested for cleaning oven interiors, so we do not recommend it to be used inside toaster ovens.

Q: Regarding recyclability, the 2025 P&G Blog says “Dawn Powerwash customers can purchase refills, minimizing waste while ensuring the trigger is now fully recyclable.” which is less than clear. Does “while ensuring“ mean the whole bottle is now recyclable?

A: Spruce is a non-selective contact herbicide. A non-selective herbicide is a product formulated to kill all types of vegetation, including weeds and grasses. Therefore we have not done the research on if Spruce will kill mold.

A: Hi, Aleah. Like traditional dish soaps, Dawn Powerwash Dish Spray is not designed for use in the dishwasher. The high level of suds could cause your dishwasher to oversuds and create a mess.

I saw a bunch of cleaning videos where the people prefer to use this to clean the entire bathroom. I go through multiple bottles of this every week. I am a professional house cleaner and im telling you, this stuff cleans EVERYTHING. I clean kitchen sinks,bathroom sinks, showers, glass shower doors, tubs, greasy counters, I use it on everything BUT dishes lol. Its amazing!

This stuff works for any sort of caked on grease or grime you can find. I’ve even used it for non conventional stuff and it works wonders. Even works to remove sticker glue on items .

I have been trying to get an entryway rubber tile clean for years. I googled what others recommended and I read that Dawn Powerwash works. I tried it and the difference was unbelievable. When I sprayed it on the floor I let it set for 15 minutes. When I sprayed it on the bubbles were white. When I came back they were brown. That is how good it worked. The only recommendation I would give someone is to wipe off with a dry towel after you have used a brush to clean. Then use a damp cloth. If you put water on it after scrubbing you just get a lot of bubbles to try to clean.

If I could endlessly have one cleaning product for the rest of my life it would be Dawn Platinum Powerwash Dish Spray! I have been using this product for YEARS and I swear by it through and through. Nothing cleans dishes, countertops, etc. quite as well as this spray. For instance, the pot lid that I show in this video has caked on remnants of grease from a couple nights ago. I didn’t presoak this lid like I normally do and just sprayed on the Dawn Powerwash spray and waited maybe 30 seconds to wash it off. All that grease and grime came completely off without scrubbing! This spray is such a game changer especially as a mom. Most days I only have 5-10 minutes to wash dishes amongst the chaos that unfolds in my household. Dawn Powerwash Dish Spray makes cleaning fast, easy, and breezy!
