[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Upon opening the plastic wrapper it stick to the paper covering the adhesive. The adhesive was very sticky and kept the pad in place nicely with the underwear. The pad was nice and thin and not bulky like some other pads. The pad needs to have a pocket to hold your male parts in place during active and static activities. I would say that would be the most important upgrade to the pad.

Sometimes shaking it a few times isn't enough, and these have helped absorb those drops that seem to seep out after a few minutes. Maybe it's age, maybe diet, maybe it's just a thing that happens for some people (kidney issues, gout, etc), but I've noticed it more lately after turning 40... There is a little lingering fluid in the tube. Am I really a wearing a diaper? Honestly, the psychological hurdle is the most uncomfortable to get over. Many men will struggle with the idea of a maxi-pad type product, or think of it as a diaper of sorts. This is where you just have to "get over it". Bodies change. Age happens. It's ok to use a product that helps your issue. How does it fit and feel.. and look? I got the lightest duty version since my issue is minimal. I have to wear dress pants for my job and work face to face with people in close quarters, so this was a valid concern. And.. it's been unnoticeable externally. However, it IS a pad in your underwear, there's no denying that, but it's really not bad or uncomfortable. I have, at moments, forgot I was wearing it. The biggest WIN is not having the "leak thru" that had occurred often after going to the bathroom. That really does offer confidence! Sure it'll wash out, but having a wet spot there in a professional environment is anxiety-inducing embarrassment. The trade off of wearing the "Shield" is well worth it. Thankful for this product. Sidenote: I missed removing the Shield before doing laundry and found it after the fact.. it stayed together and whole! It didn't come apart and make a mess, and our machine has an agitator, so it got roughed up plenty. These things are durable!

The only reason I gave it 4 out of 5 is because of the size of it. You have to be very careful how you place your "equipment" so that the end of it would be at the pad. Overall I would definitely recommend the product for those with prostate issues. (Not to be confused with adult diapers though!)
