Q: Do they have side panels that open to make them easier to remove

A: They have a seam on the sides that can be torn open so yes

A: the pictures of the product have a waist and pant size to figure out the size I wear a size 16 or 18 pant and use a size L in the Depends

Don't waste your money. Way better options.
these are so bulky. they fit the waist and hips, but the crotch area was way too tight. this makes them very uncomfortable. would not recommend nor will I ever buy them again. since I used one, I can not return them and get a refund. waste of money. they also do not wick the moisture away very quickly. so you sit in it for a little bit before they absorb. makes you want to take a shower immediately.

Not easy to pull up for an elderly woman
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ordered the small for my 120lb elderly mom. They worked well. She did need help pulling up but she is also 91. They have a nice feel and don’t make a crinkle noise but the Always brand is softer. They are lightweight enough that they aren’t too bulky. Did experience leakage when I didn’t change her right away.

Awesome Absorbency
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My elderly grandmother uses these as she has difficulty making it to the bathroom. The material is thin and flexible as to not make her uncomfortable when she is wearing them. They fit snugly against her body which is helpful to avoid leakage. So far we haven’t had any issues with them tearing so they seem pretty durable. These have wonderful absorbency as you can see in the video. I poured a cup of water in them which disappeared almost instantly. This is very helpful to control odor. Overall, the night defense underwear serve their purpose and a great for people struggling with bladder control.

Leakage Issues
I have been buying the Depend Night Defense Underwear for Women for many years & I have noticed within the last 6 times that I purchased the Nightly Depends do not last more than 4-5 hours @ night. I just wonder if the manufacturer of Depends is going to different materials & products because of the leakage in the Depends. I do not drink anything but water @ night & still has this leakage problem. Thank goodness I put a cover in my bed to keep my sheets dry. But, my gown is wet because of the nightly depend for women leaks big time.
