Ordered this online so I did not get to see it beforehand. The font is tiny and very light, and there’s a lot to read. The photos also don’t look aesthetically pleasing, they’re dark and heavy. I keep opening the book and then immediately closing it in frustration, so unfortunately I haven’t tried any of the recipes.

I absolutely love this dessert cook book! It has a great mix of easy recipes as well as more technical ones. This cookbook also has a great graph at the beginning that displays each recipes by difficulty and time. The coffee cake recipe is my favorite!

My favorite purchase of 2021! I’ve been eyeing this book for months now and my husband told me to bite the bullet, and boy am I glad I did! This book is definitely for the adventurous, and those who want to try their hands and recipes that have daunted them. The instructions are clear and easy to follow, with sizable print and vibrant pictures. The recipes, well they’re delicious. Already this week I’m on recipe three (it’s Tuesday). Overall, get this book and have some fun! I promise you won’t regret it!

Wife and I have followed Claire for a few years across youtube channels so we knew she was a great baker / cook already. The handful of recipes we've made from the book have all been fantastic (Focaccia bread, Coffee Coffee Cake, Gooey Butter Cake so far) and they have been hits with friends and family. 100% Recommend this book.

I have been a professional baker for over 10 years now, I am pretty consistently cooking new recipes at home and this book is my new project. Lots of good solid recipes that work really well. The focaccia recipe is amazing (I made the garlic Rosemary topping). And the dinner rolls turned out just like the photo. A great guide with step by step photos for the more difficult processes. I highly recommend it for new and old bakers alike, you may find something you haven’t tried or haven’t gotten just right yet.

I was so excited to order this book. I loved watching Claire on Bon Appetit on YouTube. This is a beautiful book with pictures for every recipe. That's important to me because I like to see what the finished product is supposed to look like. Each recipe is labeled very easy, easy, moderate, challenging or very challenging which I find very helpful. My only complaint is the fact that many of the recipes call for ingredients that the average home baker probably won't have in their pantry or fridge and I personally wouldn't even know where to find some of them. Yes, I know Claire is a professional, but it would have been nice to include more recipes with easy to find ingredients for those of us who may not have access to fancier grocery stores. If I'm being honest, I probably won't make 95% of the recipes in this book, but I'm still happy to have it as part of my collection.

I used to watch Claire on Youtube, but since she left Bon Appetit, it has been so rewarding to see her blossom and dip into her other talents. This book gives another dimension to her baking and cooking intelligence. Recipe development is so tough, and I am so happy to see her most perfected recipes in a compiled book. I also appreciate her difficulty and time scale because that is a huge factor in my baking and cooking!

Being a longtime fan of Claire Saffitz, I was so excited to read this book. It has so many creative, fun recipes for dessert lovers (as well as a fair few savory recipes). One particularly compelling feature is the matrix in the front where each recipe is rated by both difficulty and time to make - it's a great way to look for something that's going to fit with the type of baking you want to do at the moment. Being a bread lover, I'm particularly excited to try the cardamom sugar brioche twists and the speculoos babka!
