Great game if you like visual novels
This a children’s game. It’s a visual novel game. Something similar to Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney. So if your expectations are for an action rpg like other Pokemon games then you will be disappointed. But if you like tell tale games or phoenix wright games then this is a game I would recommend. Just know the puzzles are simpler than those two other games. Still it’s fun game for the right audience and Detective Pikachu is the star!

Not a great game
A boring game, my kids didn't like it. Very slow, not much action or challenge

Only if you're younger than 8
I pre-ordered the game digitally since July and was supper hyped for the game because the original one for the 3Ds was amazing but after two months of owning the game and a measly three and a half hours into the game, I feel like I wasted my money. (Spoilers ahead) the game starts out by explaining a bit of what happened in the last game, so you don’t need to play the last one, after you go to an award ceremony to get a special badge in recognition for your services when you are attacked by a corviknight and you have to solve a series of puzzles to find it, but there is almost no freedom of where you can go and most of the puzzles feel too repetitive. The game overall is ok but to really enjoy it you have to be younger, if you’re older and want to try out a narrative game like this one you should play the demo of Another Code which also kinda sucks but there is a more engaging story and a bit more freedom.

Quick play
Seemed like a fun game but my 8 year old finished the game on his own in less than 2 days.

Good... for kids
I don’t wanna leave a horrible review because it’s probably fun… if ur 6 years old. It holds your hand through every step of the mysteries and you can’t do anything on your own. It’s almost like watching a movie because you have so little free will. I do think it would be fun for kids though! I just made the mistake of getting it at 20 years old hahaha
