Q: What happened to this product? It's like water now!!

submitted by C - 9 years ago

  • A: This IS for the foaming hand soap dispensers. The directions under the “drug facts” tab tells you. They should make this fact more obvious, but it works as it should in the correct pump.

submitted byMom of 3 - 6 years ago

  • A: I had the same experience. Switched to softsoap

submitted byMamamay - 9 years ago

  • A: We had the same experience. I wonder if it's supposed to be for one of those foaming pumps.

submitted byKJMKE - 7 years ago

  • A: There could be several reason why this is occuring. Please reach out to us by e-mail or telephone so we can investigate this.

submitted byHenkel Consumer Affairs - 1 year ago

Q: what is the difference between this and the body wash? other than this one is significantly less expensive?

submitted by customer - 9 years ago

  • A: This item is not a body wash, it is a hand soap refill. Normally, hand soap is reccomended for hand washing only, not to be used as a body wash.

submitted bypaleo - 9 years ago

  • A: Don't know! Perhaps because this is antibacterial and body wash usually doesn't specifically say that? Although soap and water is antibacterial, I suppose. I suppose you could use this as body wash but it is a thinner consistency than body washes usually are.

submitted byMcMillian - 9 years ago

  • A: While you can use hand soap as a body wash, you would find that, due to less surfactants, your skin would feel less clean and have less suds. Also, there is less fragrance in the hand soap.

submitted byHenkel Consumer Affairs - 1 year ago

Q: Is it foaming hand soap refill? Why is says 'liquid' instead of 'foaming'?

submitted by sua - 6 years ago

  • A: Dial forming hand soaps and Dial liquid hand soaps have slightly different formulations.

submitted byDial Soap Team - 6 years ago
    Brand expert

  • A: This is NOT for the foaming Dial dispenser. It’s a liquid gel unlike the liquid foam refill. I have four of these that I now have to return. August 2025

submitted byBryan NY - 1 year ago

Q: Is it fragrance free

submitted by Unknown - 1 year ago

  • A: Dial® Antibacterial Defense™ Gold hand soap does have a fragrance.

submitted byDial Soap Team - 1 year ago
    Brand expert

Q: Can you use on your body

submitted by Catlopez - 1 year ago

  • A: There is less surfactants and fragrances in handsoaps so less suds and skin may feel less clean. We recommend using body wash for all over clean and lasting fragrance.

submitted byHenkel Consumer Affairs - 1 year ago

Q: Can this be used as body wash?

submitted by Blake founder - 1 year ago

  • A: There is less surfactants and fragrances in handsoaps so less suds and skin may feel less clean. We recommend using body wash for all over clean and lasting fragrance.

submitted byHenkel Consumer Affairs - 1 year ago

Q: is this tha older version without aloe?

submitted by Jez - 2 years ago

  • A: This antibacterial formula contains aloe vera.

submitted byHenkel Consumer Affairs - 1 year ago

Q: Is this antibacterial soap unscented?

submitted by Soap - 3 years ago

  • A: Hey, Great question, the Dial Antibacterial gold soap is not unscented, it is formulated with fragrance. However, it cleanses and conditions beautifully, in a hand wash that's mild for the whole family! Junk

I've been using Dial soap for years. No more! The hand soap is now drastically watered down. I can get water out of my faucet.

    Not sure what changed

The refill for dial does not feel right. Instead of soap it feels like water has been added to the bottle.
1 reply from Dial Soap Team team - 9 days ago
We recognize your concern that the refill’s consistency seemed more like water than soap and did not feel as expected. Please email us at consumeraffairsNA@henkel.com so our team can learn more and assist you. John, Henkel Adviser

Dial changed the pump dispenser so it is shorter and more difficult to pump once you turn the top to open. The length of the top narrow part of the dispenser is shorter also. I will not buy this brand again. Uncomfortable to use and I have small women's hands. Shrinkflation again!

Have ordered many times, 1st time I’ve ever had the food and soap together. Usually the liquid soap and shampoos are tied up in a clear plastic bag, with some sort of separation .. nothing, just everything thrown in together, not even packing filler. Everything flopping around in box. The boxes of facial tissue weren’t even used strategically. My box of bone broth and my rice cake are both smashed up.? Thank u for the regretful experience…
1 reply from Dial Soap Team team - 2 months ago
We appreciate your support for our Dial products and regret to know that your latest order arrived without the usual separation between the food and liquid soap, leaving everything loose in the box and resulting in some of your other items being smashed. Kindly contact the retailer’s customer service line for further assistance with your order.
