Q: what does the game do? tell us more about the details, please. How does it work? How many players? Suggestion: maybe go read another games description to get an idea of how to describe your game.

  • A: These games are designed for groups and there are no individual winners. Each game has players discuss the solutions to socially challenging situations. Together the group decides upon the best action encouraging all players to communicate, listen and participate in the game. There should be 2-6 in a group. The games target six important issues that students often struggle with: - Morals - Manners - Empathy - Friendship - Showing Emotions - Managing Emotions Each game is played a little differently. In summary for most of the games you will use the die to move forward. Wherever your team's pawn stops on the board you will discuss the social challenge on that square. The dial is used to bring up an emotion that will color the challenge. Act out the emotion in the challenge and then discuss how it should be handled.

did not open packaging. from what i could tell from the back of the box, this game sets up scenarios and opportunities for teaching but adults/other players have to derive from scratch what they want to teach for each of those, or what is acceptable and what isn’t. not sure if there was further guidance provided in the box to help them think through how they might want to best teach these social skills. appreciate the intent of the games but that seemed to me to be a big missing piece in this set. 3.5 stars rounded up for the intent and idea but can’t say i’d recommend, unless i’m wrong about the missing guidance.
