The Diono Radian® 3R is the original slim-fit 3 across All-in-One convertible car seat, designed to protect from baby to booster seat (5 - 120 lb). Lovingly engineered with the famous Diono steel reinforced frame and now rear facing for even longer, expect 10 years of safety from just one car seat. Designed and engineered with complete rear facing protection, so you can keep them in a safe rear facing convertible car seat for longer up to 50 lb. Built with a mechanically engineered, reinforced steel frame, made from automotive grade high strength steel, the radian is always ready to shield and protect. And when your family grows, the slim-fit design will fit 3 across in most vehicles without compromising child safety or passenger comfort. Our SuperLATCH™ system (UAS Compatible) makes installation easy and super secure. As travel car seat experts, Diono have naturally built in super portable and convenient features to the Radian 3R with original fold for easy transport and storage and easy remove machine washable covers. The radian is also aircraft certified (FAA approved), so you can take safety with you wherever you go.

Best Car Seat
Both of my children have the Diono Radian 3R car seat and we love them. The size of these car seats are very convenient specially if you have a small car. I love the color selection that they have and my children are safe while on the road. They’re so easy to wash too. The only thing is that they are VERY heavy.

Great for smaller cars
So I can definitely fit 3 across in my Malibu, which is what I needed! My only complaint is that it’s not great as a rear facing car seat. You can’t adjust it so I have to scoot my front passenger seat all the way forward in order for it to fit. I was able to fit my daughter’s infant car seat so I opted for that instead of this one. I’ll get hers when she no longer needs a rear facing car seat.

Worth it for 3 across, but not perfect
Bought these since they were the only hope of fitting 3 across in my car. They did fit, which saved me from having to buy a new car, which is amazing! However, if this weren't the only carseat that fit in my car I'd probably use a different car seat. My youngest (3months) doesn't look entirely comfortable and seems a little too upright. my oldest (5) complains about the pads around the chest clip, which are necessary for forward facing. These are also super heavy so make it a pain to move if needed. Still worth not having a new car payment and not having to take 2 cars everywhere, but we are experiencing some discomfort that wasn't a concern with our old car seats.

I wish I could give this car seat 10 stars! Why? Because of this item we are able to fit all three of our young kids in the back seat of our Ford Fusion! Instead of investing in a new vehicle, we invested in new car seats. It is also the most heavy duty car seat we have .ever. come across. This car seat saved my daughters life
This car seat saved my daughters life. My husband and daughter were hit by a drunk driver and our car was totaled. This car seat saved my daughters life. I always complained how heavy it was and how hard it was to to install but I take it all back. This car seat did NOT budge when our car was hit by a driver going approximately 50 mph. I’ll never purchase another brand!
