    Love this for my delicates!

    I usually rinse with vinegar or pure citric acid, but for my delicates I love this rinse and refresh product! It really helps remove the extra detergent and leaves my clothes feeling much softer. Fun fact: your clothes don’t need softener, they are usually stiff from built up detergent! I just wish they had bigger bottles!

    No more animal odor

    Game changer. I used this on clothes I wear while farming (animals). They somehow don’t smell farm-y anymore! I’ve always washed with a vinegar rinse but compared to this stuff the vinegar is no match. If it can take out the smell of cuddling with animals that live outdoors and roll around in Everything, it should be able to get out your odors!

    Pass for me

    I had high hopes for Downy Rinse & Refresh Clear and Gentle, but it didn’t make much of a difference. Odors were still there, and my clothes didn’t feel any fresher or softer than usual. Not worth the price in my opinion. Just because it didn’t work for me might work for you, but I ended up returning it.

    Leaves odd odor

    Not fragrance free . Left an odd unpleasant smell in my towels. They smelled fine before washing and using this product. Wanted something with no smell to help remove hard water residue. Used as directed but the spout is ridiculous. Will have to rewash towels and hope they will smell better.

    Gets out tough smells

    I've been struggling with getting urine smells out of my toddlers clothes. She mostly potty trained and still has accidents on occasions. The issue is I am very allergic to fragrance ( PATCH test confirmed). Most fragrances and scented oils make me break out in a blistering rash. I'm restricted to fragrance free options. I didn't notice any harsh chemical scent with this as other users have mentioned, my laundry smelled clean and it actually got the lingering smell of urine out of my daughter's pants. Now they just smell clean. I didn't have any reaction to it either.

    Even unscented this r

    This is super gross and I’m very disappointed since I enjoy the smell of other Downy products a lot, and was certain this would be a winner. However both my wife and I agree the odor is unpleasant when you open the bottle, but was certain in the wash it would be different… sadly it still smelled gross and now I had a load of laundry to fix. After two washing with my usual soap and Downy scent beads (still love the beads) we could finally not smell this rinse product. The gross smell seems to be a mixture of awful musk and a musty Deet or sweat kind of odor. I will be returning and do not recommend the rinse products at all (because I tried the other fragrances as well and all of them have an unpleasant sweat/musty odor effect!). Hoping Downy goes back to formula to formula.
