A: Downy Rinse and Refresh is not a fabric softener, so it can be used on all machine washable fabrics and will not impede absorbency or moisture wicking or harm flame retardants on children’s clothing like usual liquid fabric softeners.

A: That's a great question. apart from the dispenser, it can be added in the center post agitator for traditional top-loading machines, or it can be added directly to the drum during the rinse cycle.

I love this stuff!! I have three dogs that can make blankets and pillows very stinky and hard to get their scent out of, I used to wash some items multiple times even when using oxiclean and the scent sprinkles but after adding this product in the mix the smell is masked after one wash and holds its scent for longer.

Not the product that is a problem. It’s the packaging and shipping. Order was delivered box damaged bad and liquid leaked all over the place and then I was made to return items to a store while I am disabled and have children. I order online for a purpose. I should be completely reimbursed for all items in the order just for my inconvenience. They did reship some of the other items only to have the package damaged more than the first time around.

I meant to get the Clean Cotton scent which is amazing but clearly has similar packaging 🙄 Accidentally bought this scent instead and it smells bad. Personal preference I suppose but will be returning for the clean cotton because the scent is strong and smells like cleaner. Hard pass for me.

Absolutely terribly overpowering. Love the Fresh Lavender and the Cool Cotton scents - both do the job wonderfully without making one nauseated - but this causes an instant headache. The entire house smells like cheap pungent perfume from using a very small amount in one load of laundry. Will have to rewash.

The bottle spout won't pour without splashing so you can't pour it directly into the fabric softener dispenser. Not only that, but the giant bottle is floppy and when you grab it the top pops open and the liquid sprays out in a geyser of overpowering stench. Then it gets all over your hands and it will not wash off. Not only that it's $13 a bottle. Now it's on my shoes and on my hands and on my carpet no idea how I'm going to get the smell off.
