it definitely didnt have a strong smell or lasting power and i used quite a bit of the beads in the laundry

We're very sorry you were disappointed that the scent left on your laundry wasn't very strong, and didn't last, Kristen. The amount of beads used per load can be adjusted to meet individual choice of the amount of scent desired. Larger loads need more beads than small loads to deliver the desired amount of scent. As well, it's important to know that very high temps and long dry times in tumble dryers may zap some of the perfume. One suggestions is to use lower heat and a shorter dry time to help preserve the scent intensity. I have been using Downy in general for forever, the scent booster beads I've used since they released them! Downy has been coming out with the BEST fragrances esp lately! I love them all! I make sure to buy any new beads so I can try them out to form an opinion. Downy Sunrise Nectar is by far so so good smelling i am obsessed so I pray they make the softener & dryer sheets.
