Q: Can I use this to handwash garments?

A: Our Pure-Castile Liquid Soaps and Sal Suds Biodegradable Cleaner work very well for handwashing. However, please note that our products are not specifically formulated for laundry, and we have not tested them for all types of fabrics. A great rule of thumb is to follow the tag's washing instructions on your item. If you are still uncertain, we recommend doing a spot test first, to make sure this product will be okay to use. If you would like to move forward with washing your items with our products, we suggest adding 1 Tbsp. (15 mL) of Pure-Castile Liquid Soap to about 1 gallon (4 L) of cold water. Swish the items gently in the bowl and let soak for about 10 minutes. Swish the items again to release any loosened grime and rinse with clean water.

After having my 2nd child, my hormones changed and made me terribly stinky. Nothing worked! I changed deodorant and body wash, I would be stinky getting out of the shower. After googling what to do for body odor I tried Dr. Bronners tea tree oil body wash. SAVED MY LIFE! I've been odor free for 5 years. My hormones recently reverted and I don't have major body odor anymore but Dr. Bronnor's has always left me so fresh I don't intend to leave. Oh and worked wonders for cradle cap on my baby 5 years ago.

I've been using Dr. Bronner's soaps for bathing (and hand-washing as needed) for at least the last several years, and have never been disappointed nor had regrets of any sort! It does the job well, without any undesirable "side-effects" or residue.
