Q: Why has Dreft changed the scent of the Newborn formula? It stinks. I have a 4yr old so we last used Dreft circa 2017/2018 & it was truly a light baby powder fresh scent. M I have no other words for it. It stinks. Please go back to original scent.

A: Dreft Powder pH is 10.5. The 2x Dreft Liquids are pH 7.8 – 8.0 and 1x Dreft Liquids have a pH of 8.1 – 8.5.

That newborn baby smell? This is it. Soft and gentle on newborn skin. Smells really good but not too strong. I use this for my infant and toddler and it does a good job of getting stains out in everything from blowouts to spaghetti sauce.

I love love love this product. I would recommend 100% to anyone who has a baby. The scent is amazing. It leaves my babies clothes feeling amazing. The effectiveness of the soap is also there for sure. It takes stains out very well. It doesn’t break out my babies skin either.

Really confused as to why a newborn detergent would have a scent to it. Feel really deceived by the marketing of this product. My newborn was having sensitive skin and I was already using free and clear but thought this might be even more gentle not realizing there was a scent. I tried to rewash her clothes three times after realizing there was a strong smell but unfortunately the smell is too strong and is still very present. Would definitely not recommend.
