Q: Does this have parabens or phfalates in the ingredient list?
submitted by Amark0901 - 5 years ago
A: This product does not have parabens or phfalates in the ingredients.
I have been using this brush shampoo for several years and I like this product. You only need a little to clean the brushes. A bottle can last for over a year.

Doesn't work to get out putty primer

I have two brushes that I use regularly. One is the putty primer applicator and the other is a brow brush with the spoolie. When I tried the shampoo on my putty applicator is just pushed the product down farther into the hairs and clumped up the product. I eventually tried my normal hair shampoo and that got the putty applicator 100 times cleaner than this cleaner shampoo. I will use the rest of this shampoo on my brow pencil but I will probably not buy it again.

I’ve never used a brush shampoo, I’ve only every just used water and sometimes hand soap. After using this once I can really tell the difference. My brushes were softer and visibly cleaner. I’m not sure how long this tiny bottle will last tho,

This is a better sponge cleaner than for brushes. Would recommend the ELF solid brush cleaner for your brushes over this product.

I figured I'd buy something specifically made for makeup brushes so it was safe for my skin and brushes. Seems to do the job but it's nothing special.

I love ELF products in general and I have many. However...this was the worst brush shampoo I have ever used. I used yesterday and had to use a different shampoo to get my brushes clean. Makeup just wouldn't come off the brushes. So disappointed.

I have been buying this for a couple of years now and I love it! I think it does a good job in washing out the makeup in my brushes, it is inexpensive, and I also feel like it isn't too harsh.

I first tried this a few years ago and yes it’s so effective at cleaning brushes! it’s even good at removing oily products. You don’t need to use much at all to get an effective cleanse. My method of cleaning is I like to put about half a dime size amount on a plate, add some water and swish my brushes on the plate in circular motions - and watch all the product come off the brush! You don’t need to use much of this product for it to do its magic! And it leaves your brushes soft and clean and ready for the next use.

It didn't clean any foundation or concealer out of my brushes at all. Barely cleaned my blush and eyeshadow brushes. Returning it.
