A: The results on both are similar: creating a soft focus effect, and masking fine lines and imperfections. The Halo Glow Powder is available in shades Light, Medium, and Deep, whereas the the HD Powder in Soft Luminance is not shade specific.

A: Hi Sandy, we would recommend the white translucent powder if you have normal skin and are looking to create a matte, long-lasting finish. The yellow powder is a corrective powder, ideal for concealing dark spots or under-eye circles. If you're looking to create an all-over dewy look, we recommend applying the shimmer powder on the high points of the face. Hope this helps!

Q: Would you use the yellow for setting your whole face or would the translucent be better? I know the yellow is used to bake the under eye.

This feels like finely milled rice flour (which is very good for the skin btw) and it leaves a beautiful finish all day long. Imo this is even better than the famous haloglow. I hope they make this forever!

I paired this with the camo concealer and it looked great. I also used the stay all night micro-fine setting spray from elf and it lasted all night and looked great. Don’t be intimidated by the glitter in it, it’s not overpowering.

I have had so many issues with my under eye make up creasing. I apply some of the sheer power with the Halo Glow Powder Puff after I've put my foundation and concealer on and it prevents my make up creasing for the whole day. It has been such a game changer for me. I highly recommend it

I love all elf products and I really like this but I just wish that they would make a powder with a light shade without any kind of glitter and have it just be matte although the glitter is a nice touch.

Target needs to update its “clean” standards because this is far from clean. It’s almost laughable. Talc, titanium dioxide, aluminum starch, phenoxyethanol….and more synthetic ingredients. It may work well but you have to be careful with loose powder because if you don’t hold your breath, the ingredients go straight to your lungs. “Clean” is a misconception.

Best powder I’ve tried, it’s extremely underrated! I’m so scared that elf will discontinue this product because it’s not not the most popular product atm, so please check it out! It’s super finely milled and super soft and it has the tiniest particles of shimmer, that’s hardly noticeable to the naked eye (it’s not not extremely glittery or shimmery anything like that) but it leaves such a beautiful soft focus blurring effect on your skin, I couldn’t even tell their was shimmer until I put my phone light up to my face but the effect is so pretty! I have mostly oily combination skin & this powder makes me makeup last all day, perfectly mattifys without leaving it looking too dry and keeps my makeup set all day. Elf please don’t discontinue and keep stocked in stores!!

It's lightweight, great for controlling oily skin, and my makeup lasts all day! This is a great finishing powder that blurs out the imperfections of the skin. It is not heavy on the skin and does not leave a cakey face. It is relatively inexpensive and it has plenty of product on the packaging. Will continue to purchase.!!

I love this powder for under eye and entire face. It does help with an airbrushed look and works well with oily skin (as well as any powder can help with longevity). It seems finely milled.
