A: Technically this bed does not have slats. This metal bed frame is comprised of heavy-gauge wire grid, so there is support everywhere for your mattress. The distance between the head-foot heavy-gauge wire is about 4-5".

A: The Twin size of this metal platform base measures 18 in. floor to top, 38 in. wide, and 74 in. long. It's designed to fit inside most standard twin upholstered beds, but we recommend you use these measurements against the interior space of your existing frame to make sure it'll fit. Great for storage underneath
I’m 200 lbs and it doesn’t squeak. I got the full size frame and I have a 10 inch memory foam mattress. It’s only been 2 weeks, so maybe I’ll update if anything changes.

I appreciate this frame's height, as it allows for extra storage underneath. After a year or so, it did start squeaking. But, that is expected with metal. The set up was convenient. If you're a broke college student or are looking for something that'll "make do" for the time being, I would buy it! You're getting what you pay for!

Downhill Fast
I loved it, but it’s started squeaking and it’s not quiet. I’ve reassembled it multiple times, checked everything and just can’t get it to be quiet. Can’t even figure out where to WD40 it if that would help. Great for a guest room and light use, would not buy again for main use.

It won't stop squeaking. I've disassembled and assembled it multiple times but it will always squeak no matter what I do. It's not a faint squeak, it is the type of squeak that will wake a light sleeper up. Very very annoying.

My Cat Approves on Day 1
I just bought this, but I’m hopeful this will be my long term bed frame! It elevated my mattress to a more comfortable level for my chronic pain, and my kitty, Garfield, loves the new bed setup already! He has claimed it as his. I’ve attached a photo of him sitting silly on the bed. Oh! Also the setup was incredibly easy. No tools, no fuss!
