The flavor is good without being too sweet and the texture is fine. I still prefer my usual brand but don’t mind these as a second choice!

It has a smooth, creamy texture and a light vanilla flavor that’s delicious on its own. The small, ready-to-go pack are easy to take with me to the gym or on a busy morning. I never feel the need to mix it into a smoothie because it already tastes great by itself.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the smooth texture of this nutrition shake. It contains 20 grams of protein, which is a decent amount. There's also 5 grams of fiber and other beneficial ingredients, such as vitamins and minerals. It's higher in carbohydrates than I expected, with 14 grams total. For having organic sugar and additional sweeteners (stevia leaf extract and monk fruit extract), it actually wasn't too sweet. The taste is chocolatey, but not great. I can definitely tell that it's a plant-based drink.

These plant-based protein shakes from Ensure are super creamy and smooth. The chocolate taste is strong enough too which is usually not the case for protein shakes. I wouldn’t consider it a deep, rich chocolate taste but it was enjoyable not at all chalky or bitter. I also liked having half a shake with a yogurt parfait in the mornings as I monitor my salt intake. It was a super convenient way to get more protein in my diet as it was like drinking chocolate milk rather than a chalky protein shake. I would just chill and pour it into a glass. The packaging of the shake was also super convenient and made it easy to take on the go as well as fit great in a mini fridge. Overall I would recommend this for anyone who is trying to get more protein in but hates chalky protein powders or shakes.

I’m also sensitive to dairy, so I was really excited to try Ensure’s Plant-Based Protein Nutrition Shake. I tried it in Vanilla, and it was a little too sweet for me personally. (It contains 7g of added sugars / 14% DV and 300mg of sodium / 13% DV.) I’m also not a huge fan of the taste of stevia, which was pretty noticeable in this shake. While I appreciate that each serving has 20g of protein and 5g of fiber, I just didn’t love the taste. Those who don’t mind stevia might like it though. They are plant based so the flavor isn’t as good as most regular protein shakes but it also isn’t bad. I guess I would say that I wouldn’t crave the flavor but it is tastes great in iced coffee! This is my go to combo, mix a strong brewed coffee with 1/2 to a full carton of the shake. Add ice and a little creamer if you want to flavor it a bit more. Protein and caffeine all at once!!

I enjoyed drinking them straight from the fridge, but I’m sure they would be delicious whipped up with some ice cubes as well. Packed with so many vitamins and minerals, it’s honestly a no brainer for quality nutrition on the go. Being plant based is a huge plus as well. Highly recommend!!!

I found it to be very thick. It also has a very chalky taste to it. The chocolate is very rich. Although it does have a lot of protein and nutrients I cannot drink it alone. I found that putting it in the blender with a banana helped with the flavor for me.
