essence Bye Bye Panda Eyes! Smudge-Proof Volumizing & Defining Mascara - 01 - 0.54 fl oz

Despite the name, this mascara ALWAYS gives me panda eyes 😭. It always smudges or if my eye gets dry and starts to tear the mascara starts running quickly. Don’t be fooled by the name lol. Other than that issue, I’d still recommend it for a pretty good mascara that adds volume to your lashes nicely. For the value, it’s great! and it even comes off really well with just water alone.

This mascara legit does not smear or smudge. I love it. It’s the least expensive high quality mascara I’ve ever purchased.

I have gone through so many tubes of this mascara, I have it on subscribe and save 3 pack lol. It is a tubing mascara so it doesn't smudge. I love that it's natural bristles and not the plastic ones that are typical of tubing mascaras. It gives so much volume and is buildable so you can focus the last coat on the ends for extra length. I don't really experience clumps BUT this is one of those that is kinda wet at first and gets better with age. Again, lemme stress that it does not smudge or flake! and comes off easily with water, cleansing balm, whatever. Pic is 3 coats (also shout out to essence long-lasting 18+hr eyeliner [the twist-up one!])

So the only thing that seems to be true/stands out with this mascara is that it comes off with just water. (for some reason with baby oil it was a bit harder to get off then just plain water ) Makes me wonder what’s in it lol?! I did not care for the wand. It’s very bulky and you do have to put tons on to even see a difference. Like 2 to 3 coats. I’m not a fan!! as far as the smudging... I haven’t noticed anything drasticly different compared to other mascaras

If you don’t set your makeup around your eyes, this mascara absolutely DOES smudge. I don’t wear much makeup daily; I mostly do my brows and lashes so that was a total letdown especially since I don’t want to buy the expensive brands or wear the harder to remove waterproof formulas (btw Essence’s waterproof formula smudges and isn’t waterproof either 😝). I love the affordability but this doesn’t do what it claims 😫

This mascara really does what it says. Doesn't smudge on my cheeks or undereye! Comes off easily with water. However I wish it came in brown/ more colors!

I used this mascara for years almost every day now. It's affordable and doesn't smudge.

I have been loving this tubing maskara so much. No kore panda eyes, such easy removal and no clumping. Minimal fall out. I have made this my go to maskara the last year and bought tube after tube. Such a shame that I'm not finding it in my area anymore though. Have been to at least 8 stores. What is going on Essence? Please keep this one on the shelf forever!

It’s a comfortable brush but you have to use a lot for it to show. It’s not bad and it is affordable.

The first thing I will note is that it makes my eyes BURN! Other than that it clumps together and while it does lengthen it also makes my lashes stick together pretty bad. Once I have it on for an hour or so it starts to flake off, I’ve tried reapplying or even just doing more than one layer as I did in the picture (I’ve done up to three because that’s as much as I could do before they start to get too clumpy and flake off). Honestly it’s good, but maybe it’s just the weather or general climate but it can’t seem to stay on my lashes.

Stays where it’s put, goes on easily, comes off with makeup remover. Best to apply a little makeup remover on a cotton round then hold it for about 30 seconds before beginning to gently wipe away.

It’s really bad mascara. It doesn’t stay at all and you have to put 100 coats on to even see it. By the end of the day your lashes will be bare again because it fell off all over your face. The name is an absolute lie. Save the $5 and put it towards an actually good mascara. I never leave reviews but this one is warranted.

All though my lashes are popping, they always pop. This is just like any other mascara, and it doesn’t tube. But it looks nice. And it doesn’t hold a curl… at all.
