A: I don't have a recommendation for the gel line, but Mademoiselle in the regular Essie line is my all-time favorite for a French manicure. Ballet Slippers is another good one.

A classic takes about 2 minutes per layer to dry, the Gel Couture takes about 5 minutes per layer to dry. Once you have your layers on, it takes about 15 minutes to dry, but you always want to refrain from busy nails for the first hour or so after your mani.

A: Hi Amanda! Don't use a UV lamp with the Gel Couture nail colors and Top Coat This formula is made for easy home use. No base coat is used. Apply 2 coats of color to bare nails, finish with the top coat and let your nails dry like a normal nail enamel. Remove with your regular polish remover.

A: Hi there AMM! The Gel Couture colors were made to go over a bare nail bed, with not base coat. While base coats help classic nail enamels adhere to the nail bed, we don't think the Gel Couture will work well over a base coat.

This gel polish is so handy to use. It is a beautiful, light pink that is sheer when applied. Two coats is plenty and dry easily. No UV lamp needed! Plus, I can wear it as is or top it off with a cute top coat to give it some more pop. This manicure has been lasting for days with chipping or peeling. I am absolutely impressed that I’m getting a salon-worthy manicure within minutes at home. Absolutely recommend this!

To get this gel like look you don’t even need to use a UV lamp. The nail paint tries quickly and stays longer than the other nail paints. The only thing I dislike about this is the smell.

Target did a poor job packing nail polish bottles. The only protection in the box was papers. The glass bottles were NOT bubble wrapped or any additional wrapping. There was only a big piece of paper as protection in the box which did NOT protect at all. Just be aware of this when buying online.

These looks beautiful, dainty, delicate. It had a every so slight smell, nothing crazy. I only have one coat of each and they haven't chipped in 3 days. Im eager to try brushed metal over black, it'll probably be beautiful.

Beautiful sheer pink. Took 3 coats, But the color is very soft & elegant. My nails were destroyed from gel nails. Slowing growing back healthier. It adds a beautiful base layer to my nails and the color is easy to layer on. It’s basic, subtle and pretty transparent. I like it as a first layer, it’s prettier than pictured. Can’t comment too much about comfort or size, it’s standard for a nail product. The brush size is about right, two to strokes and it covers my entire nailbed. I’m using base coat and top coat to make it last longer, I’m hopeful for the durability. Overall a pretty good product.
